Ophold på en FONDA.

Kort afstand fra den hektiske kyst med masser af store hoteller. Den gamle fonda ligger på Hovedgaden i en dejlig fredelig lille bjergby med nok restauranter til flere dages ophold. Fondaen er gammeldags - det oprindelige inventar er for en stor dels vedkommende bevaret og holdt ved lige. Et spændende spring tilbage i tid. Meget venligt personale. Dejlig oplevelse.

Atmospheric hotel near the tourist areas

Nice small hotel in an old building with very friendly and helpful staff. Nice patio and terrace. Very atmospheric. Bathroom very nicely done. In the middle of the old part of town. Would come back anytime. Very good price!

late check in could be an issue

if you intend to check in after 10pm then you'll need to contact to reception in advance (they will provide you a phone number to call on arrival to enter the hotel, otherwise you won't enter as the entrance is closed and there is no light inside). The problem was the receptionist didnt speak engish at all (which is pretty funny at Tenerife due to a number of foreigners), so i had to find someone speaking both english and spanish to explain my need to call and let them know, that was not an easy task in my circumstances. Anyway, in the offer there was a standard double bed, but i've got 2 single beds together, which is not pretty confortable for a couple... Apart from that, this was the cheapest option "for tonight", the breakfast was great, workers are quite friendly and the hotel is extremely traditional. So, apart from difficulties regarding late check in, the rest was pretty ok (taking into account the price vs an urgency).

Schönes Hotel in authentisch spanischer Umgebung

Das Hotel befindet sich an einer netten Strasse voller Cafes am oberen Rand des Ortes. Die Einrichtung ist, etwas gewollt, rustikal Landhausstil (alte Schreibmaschinen, Fahrräder stehen zu Dekorationsszwecken herum). Die Zimmer befinden sich um einen Innenhof herum gruppiert auf zwei Ebenen. Zugang über eine umlaufende Holzveranda. Das Zimmer ist einfach aber ausreichend eingerichtet. Viel dunkles Holz, schöner Holzdielenboden, allerdings wenig Licht. Betten in Ordnung und sauber. Ein Restaurant befindet sich ebenfalls im Hotel mit Tischen im Innenhof. Bei meinem Aufenthalt gab es keine Restaurantgäste, daher war es extrem ruhig. Bei Restaurantbetrieb hört man sicher jedes gesprochene Wort im Innenhof, da die Türen und Fenster des Zimmers eher rustikal gearbeitet sind. Frühstück war sehr gut und wurde auf Bestellung frisch gemacht: Kaffee, Saft, Brötchen, Bacon, Spiegelei, Marmelade, Butter.

Hotellet ger ett första fantastiskt intryck, gammalt och charmigt. Men brister tar ner omdömet: kallt och fuktigt rum, endast ett tandborstglas, icke-fungerande TV, ingen extra kudde, trasig handduk och filt. Enkel frukost serverades i fuktig källare.
