We chose this as it was close to family and it was cheap to be fair. The room was adequate, it was clean. Useful amenities. Breakfast was provided in the room. Bread for toasting was in the fridge ready and there were cereals and spreads for the toast to choose from plus the usual tea and coffee provided. The Blue Gums itself was a good bar with decent food. There was parking outside the room for your car, a bus route close by into the city and there was a shopping centre across the road. There was no kitchen sink for the washing of crockery and cutlery but a bucket to use which we did use but we weren't sure if we were meant to do it or the cleaning staff.

Look it’s a pretty basic room, very average, but it’s fine if you just want a bed to sleep in, clean and the rest of the hotel is great so it was a little disappointing the room didn’t match the property

After reading all of the positive reviews we were looking forward to the free continental breakfast. Upon arrival, staff told us, "no, the breakfast is toast and cereal in your room". So when we opened the room, we found 3 slices of stale bread and one dry crust end, three very small milks, three small packets of butter, some weetbix, saltana bran, nutrigrain, jam, honey and vegemite. A serious let down from our previous continental breakfast experiences! There was one shampoo, one conditioner, one body wash, one soap... NOT nearly enough for three ADULTS stsying there! There was a strong cigarette smell coming in from the rear door from somebody outside. Overall, very disappointed! We had no sleep for both nights we stayed there. Very noisy, very strong scent of bleach!
