「We wanted a quiet spot in the jungle surrounded by nature and got exactly what we were looking for. If you're looking for luxury and lots of amenities it might not be the place for you, but if you want to be surrounded by the sites and sounds of the jungle, and close to some nice restaurants away from the touristy areas, its great. We heard howler monkeys in the mornings, saw spider monkeys in the evenings, and saw iguanas, coatimundi, and so many birds.」

「Akumal is a special town that I have visited for over 25 years. This was my first time staying at LaSerina. Such a lovely location. The courtyard gardens are full of beautiful tropical plants, and is beautifully maintained. There is a large lovely pool in the center of this courtyard. The condo was decorated in traditional Mexican decor with lots of nice personal touches. The staff were amazing. Would definitely stay here again.」

「The view from this condo is absolutely beautiful!! And the cleanliness was outstanding! Unfortunately, storms have caused serious beach erosion so there really was no beach & the sargassum was so bad that you couldnt swim for several days. However, there are several cenotes nearby to swim in. We did have problems with the internet, which seemed better after the technician showed up. Unfortunately, the property manager was not all that helpful, & some of the condo owners seemed off put by...

「Not outstanding, just a fair place to stay. A 2 bed 2 bath condo is about the same price as this one bed, one bath suite after all the fees and taxes are added to the final cost. Unable to negotiate price per night with owner. Bed very comfortable, toilet needs fixed, maid service was excellent, kitchen offered the bare minimum utensils for making meals. Plan to eat out because of this. Refrigerator makes constant noise. Coffee pot had to be “programmed “ in order to brew. Confusing to us so we...

「Condo had everything I needed to cook & all in working order, even forced exersize being on the 4th floor ,with beautiful morning sunrises & nice breezes through out. I had a hard time as a senior seeing where the steps in condo changed as the tile is all the same- Suggest a stripe of black/ brown at edge of steps. Also would be great to have a lounger bed/ chair out at right side of deck to relax. Bed was very comfy. Great location walkable to everything in Halfmoon bay. Weather was perfect to...

「We absolutely loved staying at Villas DeRosa!! The owners were so easy going and helpful. They answered questions immediately. Our luggage got lost and Tony called the local airline for us to assist (as we dont speak Spanish). We had the bottom floor that walked out to the beach, which we loved. Plus it kept the unit cool. The AC in the bedroom worked great and we never got hot at night. Housekeeping was impressive too. Clean linens every day and we never had sand on our floors. Appliances in...
