Perfect Girls weekend getaway
Our group consisted of six ladies who were taking the weekend to reconnect, chat, relax, and visit Jim Thorpe. This property was perfect. It offered plenty of space for us to spread out and for most of us to have our own bed.. The main living area is large and open and very comfortable. That is where we spent the majority of our time when we were at the house. The kitchen is well stocked with anything that you might need to prepare your own meals in the house. There is also a lower level with additional seating, foosball, ping pong, and air hockey. It ended up snowing a bit the first night that we were there and that was a beautiful sight to see. We also saw tons of deer in the neighborhood. We were there a bit before prime season, but the neighborhood seems very quiet and family friendly. And the houses are spaced apart to allow for privacy. Our group came with two cars and there was plenty of space for easy parking and unloading when we arrived. We enjoyed using the propane fireplace on the main level. It really added to the ambience and feeling of coziness while we were there. Also Dave and Kim were very helpful with any questions that we had and responded quickly. It is obvious that they have taken a lot of time and care creating a welcoming and comfortable environment. We also visited the town of Jim Thorpe on Saturday afternoon, which was an easy 20 to 25 minute drive. We definitely recommend this lovely property .

Enjoyed Our Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay however, we feel that we could have been told that the basement was not heated. The game room was located in the basement. There was a thermostat on the main floor, but if you set it higher, the other floors get too warm. Other than that, the house was clean and cozy!

Awesome house
We had a great time. This was a holiday celebration for a family that is spreading out across the country. House is clean, basement is fun with ping pong, foosball, and air hockey. We saw a lot of deer. Owner had the house decorated for Christmas which was great.

Great time in the Poconos
Dave and Kim have hosted a wonderful property in the Poconos for family and friends alike. They were easy to get a hold of and very responsive to questions. The property itself is in a good location and has access to many interesting local destinations. It's a great home with a game room in the basement, which is fun for those rainy weather days. We didn't take advantage of the kitchen, but it seemed like it had everything that you could possibly need. Btw, booklets/brochures were left for fun activities to do in the area. My family and I had a wonderful time in the Poconos!

Exceptional
The minute you walk into this house, you feel at home. I was there during the Xmas holiday, and the house was beautifully decorated for the holiday, which just added the special touch and shows the care the home receives. There were 6 of us, and while the house was large enough it felt cozy. The living room with fireplace, was inviting and perfect, great gathering place to watch a movie. The kitchen has everything you need to make those great family meals that can be enjoyed in the dining area. Bedrooms are large and beds are comfortable, each with a TV.. The bathrooms are also big and well kept. It also has a large, basement with games. This home is perfect, and I would highly recommend it. It was the perfect family ski getaway. We all loved it.

Great escape for a family retreat!
House was beautiful inside and out. The roaming deer in the morning and evening were great we could walk up and feed them. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could imagine and then some. All the bedrooms were spacious and very nice. I would definitely come back and stay. only thing I could ask for is a back deck!

Excellent vacation house!
We really enjoyed spending our vacation week in this house. It was spacious enough for our age group of 2 to 63. The open layout was great, very clean, well stocked kitchen, internet and decorated very nicely. I loved that lighted tree in the corner. The dining room table was great for eating together, playing games, and coloring with the little ones. We liked the ping pong table, air hockey and other games in the basement. We also loved spending time on the deck with the deer coming by for a visit. Definitely would rent this house again. Thank you so much, Kim & Dave!

3 Generations of Very satisfied guests
Ideal layout satisfied everyone at all times. Everybody loved the first floor open floor plan for extended family time. Everybody also loved the "kid friendly" basement for the time when having 3 generations under 1 roof became a bit too much during an all day rain :-) Those who had a working vacation were thrilled with the internet strength & reliability. Wonderful hosts, too. Our only regret was that our schedules wouldn't allow us to stay longer. Thanks so much, Kim & Dave!

Best vacation house we have ever stayed in!
I booked this chalet for a family getaway at the beginning of the summer. We had a wide range of ages ( from 4 to 75 ). I cannot say enough how happy we were with our overall experience. The house is absolutely beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. There is plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing, but also a large enough table for us all to play cards together. The house was immaculate and well decorated. The beds were very comfortable and laid out well. We really enjoyed the beach , the lake, the pool, and the playground. It was never too crowded and everything was very well maintained. The owners were extremely nice and so easy to work with. I would definitely rent this house again. You can’t go wrong with this one!!!

Great house!
We loved Dave and Kim's house. It was beautiful and open inside. Very clean. They had EVERYTHING we needed in the kitchen, and then some! They also had beach chairs and beach toys so we didn't have to bring them. Our ONLY complaint is that, due to heavy rain and weather, the community beach was closed during our entire 7 day stay. Fortunately, Beltzville State Park was 25 minutes away and we got a few beach days. Hickory Run is a public beach as well, but we didn't go there. Had we known that Towamensing Trails closes the beach sometimes due to bad weather, we probably wouldn't have taken the risk because the beach is what we plan to do every day, and we didn't love having to drive to the state park. Not Dave and Kim's fault at all, but I wish I had known the higher risk with this particular beach before we booked, compared to other, larger lakes. You can still do other lake activities such as boating and fishing, just not swimming. If you like hiking and other activities, then this house would be perfect!

Most excellent hosts
Our family of adult children and teenagers had a great long weekend getaway "snowcation". Dave and Kim were the absolute best hosts we have ever had. The house had plenty of room for all of us and the boys loved the game room downstairs. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals for our large family all weekend.

Wonderful Weekend
The house was perfect for our 3 day weekend! We spent Saturday skiing/snowboarding at Jack Frost which was just about 30 mins away. We went to Blue Mountain for tubing on Sunday and that was just under 30 mins. The kids (and adults) had a great time in the game room. The house was very clean, well equipped, and spacious. Thanks to Dave and Kim for sharing their house with us and for making the process so easy!

Great Base Camp for Exploring
This home was the perfect home base for our family. Our kids loved the game room, the legos, and the cozy fire place. During the days, we traveled to many nearby hikes, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, and bike riding. The house is very clean and the kitchen has everything you’ll need. There are no open fires in the community, but we were able to enjoy a camp fire after our whitewater rafting trip. Thanks Dave and Kim!

Great family get away
We were looking for a place that would accommodate our family. Most of the week there were 6 of us but for a couple of days we were 10. This home was large enough to accommodate all of us. The game room was a huge hit. Had a great time at the pool and the beach. All in all a perfect place to relax. Thank you Kim and Dave.

Nice and LARGE Place
Nice and clean place - well stocked. The place is larger than I had expected, with a very large living/family room and big dining table. The basement game room was a hit with my boys - we played ping pong, air hockey and foosball extensively - lot of fun there while it was raining outside. Also, very close to several natural attractions, state parks and hikes. Overall, beautiful place. Only comment I would make it you need a car to go anywhere - no walking area within a half mile. Also, the TV is a little old, but then, we really did not go there to watch TV! Our host was wonderful, responsive and very well organized. Thanks. Rajiv

Great vacation during this crazy year!
With all the of the craziness that 2020 has thrown our way, this was a much needed vacation! We really enjoyed our time at the house. It was clean and very well kept. Nice big deck where we could enjoy our morning coffee/tea. The kitchen had everything that we needed and more which was great as I love to cook! The owner Dave checked in with me on our second day just to make sure that we had everything we needed. I have stayed in the Pocono's for years and have never seen the amount of wildlife we saw this year! Tons of deer everywhere. Also saw a bear a few times and some turkeys running around. The kids loved it! Overall, it was a great house and a great vacation!

We loved this house! It’s clean and very spacious! The downstairs game room was wonderful for our kids. We were 30 min from Camelback and spent the day skiing and snow tubing. We plan on renting this house again in the future.

Perfect for our family!
We had a wonderful family vacation! The chalet was perfect for us with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The kitchen was well furnished. Our grandson loved the games that were provided! Dave and Kim were wonderful to deal with!

Our second time!
We stayed at the house last year and liked it so much we returned. There's a large open space with plenty of seating around the table and on the sofas. The kitchen is large and well stocked. After our outdoor activities during the day, we especially loved the gas fire place in the evening . There's also a large finished basement , but we didn't use it. With 7 people we also had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. It was fun to see the deer in the woods next to us and observe a large buck make himself comfortable in the back. Our communication with Angelo and Kim was very smooth and we experienced no issues or challenges.

Great house never rented a house in 15 yrs that had nothing wrong no issues whatsoever.Very roomy and great well stocked kitchen.Lots of Things to do.Beach was closed we went to Sandy Springs which was perfect,visited J.Thorpe,coal mine,fishing at Big Brown,Hawk Falls.BoulderField,and Camelbeach.Restaurants in Harmony Lake were very good for the Pocono area.GREAT TIME would return.

Perfect fit for all our needs!
House was perfect for a mini ski vacation. Everyone had a great time. Dumpsters on a set schedule made it impossible to dispose of the garbage. Otherwise all accommodations were perfect. Thank you and looking forward to another visit in the future.

Trash disposal hours are: Sat/Sun: 7:00am - 7:00pm Mon/Wed/Fri: 7:00am - 7:00pm Tues/Th: 11:00am - 7:00pm Hours are in the instructions to the house and are posted on the bulletin board in the kitchen. If checkout is on a Tuesday or Thursday, consider disposing trash on evening prior to checkout if departing before disposal hours.

Perfect getaway!
This house was perfect for our annual winter getaway for our two families. The kids really enjoyed having their own space in the downstairs game room. Kim was very easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!
