I have been known as the “” Princess and the pea” as far as all things have to be perfect for me to be content “. When traveling this is forever my issue. Not only did David the owner , answer all my questions- with patience and ease- I found the cottage to be perfect for me. Air quality was excellent and the queen bed was so comfortable that I enquired for all info necessary to purchase a mattress exactly like that for myself. I have never been able to give an honest review of a 3 when renting before. This would exceed 5 x2 = a 10.

The cottage was immaculate -- it felt like we were the first people there ever! Comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen. House is not right on the water -- you have to cross a rural street and then descend to the Lake, where there are two nice kayaks and a canoe. Pleasant!

Comfortable and a great value
Cabin #9 was a clean and comfortable home for our Thanksgiving getaway. We were looking for a place that was pet-friendly and the owner was kind enough to accommodate our two cats after I provided some information. We brought a lot of their things from home and they quickly accommodated and loved it, and so did we three humans. The neighborhood around the house was quiet and pleasant and right next to the lake with some great sunset colors across the water in the evening. The living room was nice to relax in with lots of windows to view the lake and deck. In the late fall, the area is not too exciting and at least a 30-60 minute drive to any attractions (small convenient grocery store/gas station with excellent homemade soups right nearby, though), but it looks like it would be a fun place in the summer and the sunsets might be in a better position too. I had two complaints—one is that there is only one large gas furnace for heating. It’s perfectly adequate to heat the entire house, but the heat was not evenly distributed and it was hard to maintain the right temperature throughout the place. Some electric baseboard radiators in the bedroom might be preferable; however, I doubt that this place gets enough winter activity to make the construction worthwhile. Another issue that could be more easily corrected is that the blinds in the bedroom don’t block the morning light at all. I had to hang a blanket from the window frame to be able to sleep without excessive morning light. The beds were quite comfortable, though. Overall, the minor issues are not significant enough to remove a star; for our purposes (a well-priced, pet-friendly vacation rental away from the city), it was perfect.

Thank you for staying in our cottage and for taking the time to write a review. I will replace the shades in the bedrooms with blackout shades. One suggestion that I'll add to winter visitors is to leave the ceiling fan on low to distribute the heat. We stayed in Cottage 11(exactly the same as 9) from Jan 1, 2022 to April 15, 2022 and we found having the fan going slowly kept the cottage evenly heated. It was very cozy, even in the sub-zero temps we encountered during a couple of days in January and Feburary.

Beautiful Location and View
Our stay was excellent. The cottage had everything from supplies in the kitchen (dish soap, garbage bags, paper towels) to great chairs on the the deck. The cottage was recently updated, extremely clean, and the beds were comfy. The internet worked great for streaming videos and doing work. Having our own washer and dryer was convenient. A small convenient store was down the road that had sandwich meats, vegetables, and other supplies. A full grocery store was about 25 minutes from the property. Plenty of trails to hike in the area and shore line to fish. The owners are super friendly, accommodating, and live in close proximity to the cottage. A gas grill was additional plus for grilling in at night. Lots of places to explore as well. We will definitely be back and we are already spreading the word to our friends.

Great Escape
My wife and I had a great time renting here. It was perfect for what we were looking for. A place to disconnect and just sit back and relax. The view across the lake was amazing and each night we got to sit on the deck and watch the sunset. We would definitely return and have already started looking at next year to see when we might be able to do that.

As my title states this property was very comfortable, very clean and accommodating. The host was very thoughtful and listed places of interest in the area for us. The beds were so comfortable, and the area was quite. We all slept sound. The location was quiet and had great views, the only con to this property is it didn't have great access to the water. Overall it is a wonderful place to relax with family/friends on Lake Champlain. We will be back for another visit.

This sweet cabin had everything you could want or need - the view was tranquil and expansive, the amenities (including washer/dryer and dishwasher) were outstanding. Nearby dunes were lovely. I suggest arriving early the first night as the roads can be quite dark.

Wonderful View at Isle View
My entire experience involving Isle View Cottages was wonderful. Owner Dave was responsive, helpful, and friendly. The cottage itself was lovely, and fully equipped. The sunrises, sunsets, and moon rises over the water and the fields were astounding. Alburgh Dunes State Park is within a pleasant walking distance or a very short drive. The surrounding countryside never lacks for beautiful areas to explore! I highly recommend Isle View Cottages and I look forward to returning there.

Clean, modern, great location, great view - highly recommend.
We love the cottage - we have stayed for the past 2 years. The front room with the windows is spectacular. The kitchen is well stocked and the appliances are fairly new. Bathroom and bedrooms are comfortable as well We love going to the beach a mile away and cruising the area. I'm sure we will be going back next year!

Great time on Lake Champlain
The location was stunning and so close to the Alburgh Dunes State Park (which my kids absolutely loved). It also made a great location from which to explore both the Champlain Islands and New York. If the border hadn't been closed, it also would have been a great place for day trips into Canada. The house itself was very cute and well cared for. The deck overlooking the water was amazing, and the kitchen had all the pots, utensils, etc. that we needed. We appreciated the DVDs and games as sometimes we couldn't stream movies, but we were able to make it work most of the time, and the Wifi worked great for checking email, etc. This cottage was also a great spot for our dog, who loved looking out the low windows in the front. I would definitely recommend this cottage. Dave and Lucy are wonderful hosts!

Very nice experience, lovely cottage near the lake well furnished. Super sunset. Outside there was a lot of bees…. They are not aggressive but be careful not to be stung. And we had neighbors with a loud radio, that they turned down when asked. Check out time was 10 am would have been lovely a bit later for a Sunday. Other than that perfect place.

Such a beautiful little get away this place is. The view of the lake to wake up to everyday is better then just staying at a hotel. The sunsets you get to enjoy while eating dinner, or sitting on the porch enjoying a glass of wine. The home was very clean, and had literally everything you needed. Idyllic
Whether you want to curl up with a book, bike ride or participate in water sports- Isle View is the place. We did it all. The cottage was perfect for our family of 4 and dog. It was clean and stocked well. David and Lucy were exceptional hosts providing us with information about the area, allowing us use of the mooring out front for our boat and adding on the dog at last minute. Communication was easy and it was a pleasure meeting them both.

Amazing weekend away from the city!
We booked this cottage for a weekend away from NYC. The cottage was VERY clean, beautifully renovated, surprisingly spacious, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend! The kitchen is well-stocked and has pretty much everything you may need. Let's not forget the amazing view of the lake!    David (the host) was friendly, helpful, and ALWAYS available. David shows consideration for the guest by providing things such as laundry pods (with instructions!) and dishwashing detergent which no one remembers to pack. I loved the electric candles too- great touch! I would recommend this cottage to others planning to visit the area.

Beautifully renovated and appointed! What a wonderful view! Our hosts were very accessible and helpful. Dishes, silverware, pots and pans were just right and the spice rack and the farberware kitchen knife and utensil lazy susan were a pleasant surprise. The clothes washer and dryer were greatly appreciated as we were heading home to a power outage! We are already talking about returning!!

The property was clean and nicely updated. It had everything we needed for a nice 3 day weekend. The kitchen was well stocked for eating in. Having a washer/dryer was nice too. The lake and Isle LaMotte views were beautiful. And we went to the state park beach twice - just a mile away. Check-in/checkout went as smoothly as could be - no issues. Wifi was decent enough for our needs. Even though there we a few other cottages nearby, it was very quiet. We hardly saw anyone. The small road out front is lightly traveled as well. We would stay here again.

Quiet get away
We had a wonderful long weekend at David's cottage. It was exactly as advertised - spotless, 2 mins from the beach, and with a stunning sunset view of the lake. This cottage was well spaced out from other cottages on the property, so it was very easy to have privacy and keep to yourself. David was very welcoming and helpful leading up to our arrival - he even measured the floor space in one of the guest rooms to make sure our toddler's travel crib would fit. The cottage and location was great for our family - our toddler loved the beach and throwing rocks at the waterfront. And there's a huge mowed field to let your child loose in at 5am! This was a very happy trip for us to have during these tough times. Would definitely recommend to others looking for peace and quiet away from the crowds. Thanks, David!

Perfect place for some R&R
My husband and I needed some R&R and we were so glad we choose to spend the week here. We (including our fur baby) all loved this place. The property had a beautiful view of the lake. It was so nice just sitting by the window in the morning drinking coffee and enjoying the view. The property was clean and felt so comfortable. All the Linen and towels were all provided to you and the kitchen was stocked with varies cookware, kitchenware and spices. The place was so equipped we really didn't need to bring much. The property owner David send us plenty of information prior to our arrival and even reached out to us to let us know the property was ready for us and we were welcome to check in early if we liked. Upon arrival we got a chance to meet with David who took the time to explain some things about the property and gave us some information about where to shop for groceries, places to visit, and where to eat. On check out day, David even reached out to let us know if we would like to extend our stay we were more than welcomed. We had a great time here and would definitely come back and stay here again if we are in the neighborhood.

Great weekend!
We spent Labor Day weekend here. The location is absolutely beautiful- we loved sitting out on the front deck and watching the sunset over the lake. The cottage was clean and had new, modern fixtures. It served as a great home base for day trips to Montreal and Burlington. We also loved the Alburgh Dunes State Park down the road. David sent really helpful information ahead of time and also stopped by one morning to make sure everything was going well. Overall, we had a really positive experience.

Clean Cottage Overlooking Lake
Cottage #9 is clean & comfortable, right on Lake Champlain with a beautiful view from the porch or bank of windows in the sun room. If we were out the for day, we'd make sure to return to the Cottage in time to see the sunsets. Owner David communicated well and personally welcomed us on our arrival at the Cottage. The area is wonderfully quiet & serene. Traveling the Route 2 scenic byway is pleasant, and we enjoyed day trips to Burlington, Montreal & Stowe and dinner at Shore Acres. Alburgh Dunes State Park is just a short drive or long walk up the road -- great for swimming and picnicking. Wondered before traveling whether the road between the Cottage & Lake would be a noisy nuisance -- but it is not. Relatively few vehicles passed by, and the road was no problem at all. We'd return again for another visit to the Cottage & Lake.

There is nothing I can say about this property that is not great...the only thing I can possibly think of is there was not a hairdryer. Everything was simply perfect. A lovely cottage right on Lake Champlain
We had a wonderful vacation in David's cottage. It overlooks Lake Champlain and is a two minute walk to the lake where the owner has canoes, kayaks and a dingy for all day relaxing on the water. The fishing was great and the boat area doubles as a beach (bring swimming shoes - it's rocky!). It is also pet friendly and our dog had a wonderful time swimming at the dock. The surroundings, very close to Canda, are beautiful, quiet and peaceful. There are nearby activites for small children, including a large, sandy beach in the State Park about a mile down the road. The best part of the stay, however, is the cottage, which is small, but clean, beautifully decorated and so well laid out that it feels spacious. The kitchen has all amenities for making meals, including cooking staples like salt, pepper, sugar, oil, etc. And it also has a full bank of windows overlooking the lake that means spectacular sunsets every evening. I highly recommend this property.

This was a perfect little cottage for us. We were visiting family in the area, so we needed somewhere close, but this did not disappoint. The cottage was very well kept and had everything we needed. We had a wonderful stay at this little cottage on a lovely island in Lake Champlain! We arrived to David stopping by and making sure we got in okay and showing us how to us the heater (not complicated, he was just being helpful), and it just got better from there. Aside from the beautiful views and the peace and quiet, the house was perfect. Clean and well-appointed, we had everything we needed, including a full kitchen with all the dishes and cookware we needed, and even some really nice spices, oils, and vinegars. We stayed in and relaxed for part of our stay, and also were happy with the easy and beautiful drive into Burlington to visit family. But what really made this house stand out for me was how thoughtful the owners have been in thinking of all the little things that make a space comfortable. There are hooks in every room to hang clothes or towels. There is an extra towel bar in one room, and a luggage rack in another (great for my back!). There is a big shelf in the back of the shower for all your toiletries so you don't have to set them on the floor of the shower. There's a great motion sensor light in the bathroom so you don't have to turn the light on in the middle of the night. There are waste baskets and tissues in every room. And there are little lamps everywhere, from the sides of the beds to various places throughout the house, which gives you lighting options, and makes it so you don't have to get out of bed to turn off the light before sleep. They really thought of every detail (and I'm sure I'm forgetting some here...). Oh, and the beds are VERY comfortable, with high quality sheets. And the internet was great for us the entire time. I even was able to stream the series finale of Game of Thrones, a big plus for me! My only suggestion for future guests is that if you are staying for more than a few days, bring some extra clothes, as there is no laundry on site, and if you have a little one, consider bringing a few cheap outlet covers. There are lots of outlets (a plus IMO!), and my toddler was quite interested. This was a great space for a little one though. The layout made it super easy to keep an eye on him, actually easier than it is at home. We will definitely be back to this lovely little cottage. Highly recommend!

The main reason I rented this place was because of the location. I wanted to see birds, sunsets as described. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. It was cloudy. Snowing in some areas. Also the birds had left Vermont. I was excited because this cottage was near the state park however it was under construction and I couldn't go in. With all that I still enjoy the stay. The cottage is well kept, clean and comfortable. I probably will recommend to put some shades or curtains because it make me a little uncomfortable walking in the house with everything open especially with cars driving by. Other than that I will recommend this place to my friends.
