“Clean and lots of room.”

“I really enjoyed my getaway night here. The room was like a small apartment, very neat and clean; a few small details could be adjusted, but they were minor and I had great communication with the staff when I needed to find out how to work something. Comfy bed as well, and there’s a beautiful walk right next to the lake, which is only a few steps to get to. I would definitely come again.”

“The on site staff were accommodating. When we arrived the fireplace wasn’t working and the room had two portable heaters. We fell into an extreme cold (-36 feels like -44) alert and requested a third portable heater. The staff offered to replace our fireplace while we went out for breakfast. This helped manage the cold for the remainder of the stay.”

“The easy access to all the water craft was great. the area was close to public beach and a couple valuable stores for supplies. It was also quiet at night which made sleeping very nice.”

“We arrived at the cottage and there was a strange odour in the room. Then we noticed the furnishings were tattered and the cottage itself was poorly maintained. And though we paid we left after 10 minutes refusing to stay in this inferior cottage. We are now awaiting a refund.”

“The setting was beautiful, a shimming lake and a burst of colour from autumn foliage. Unfortunately the cottage was lacking. Shower door won’t stay closed, not a dresser, shelf, or hook for clothing, oven not clean, rack in backwards and fell out, extreme floor slanting. But, the most upsetting was the Lack of Communication with the host and the agency, The Muskoka Waterfront Retreat. We wanted a 3 night reservation, but mistakenly entered 2.
