Meals at the hotel were excellent, and staying overnight in the Alishan Recreation Forest gave me lots of opportunities to explore the different trails and enjoy the cool mountain air. The hotel staff were very friendly and hospitable; special shoutout to one of the restaurant staff who was very helpful and provided useful advice about the hiking trails in the area, and allowed me to more easily find the trail for the Shuishan Giant Tree, an amazing sight. This was an unforgettable first time in Alishan, and if I visit again, will 100% stay at the Alishan Hotel. "About 40-ish minute drive from Alishan national park. The staff were very friendly and responsive! We had a problem with a smell coming from the toilet, but the staff fixed it right away. The rooms were a bit cold in January, but otherwise, beautiful room. We had complimentary, high quality mountain tea that the staff prepared freshly for us. Overall, great time and would book again."
