“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this small apartment conveniently located in downtown Downieville. Great views of the town below and surrounding mountains. The lodging was very clean and comfortable with a quiet atmosphere conducive to relaxation. As previous reviewers have mentioned the driveway up to the house is very steep so make sure you have decent tires and put your car in low gear before heading up the road! I would be happy to stay here again next time I make it to Downieville.”

“The property definitely did not meet up to the representation on the VRBO website.We are a family who has been returning to Graeagle for over 70 years. And have rented many homes in that area. The house was filthy. The deck was filled with cobwebs, Pineneedles and broken decking. The bathrooms were filthy. The master bathroom shower was full of mold, mushrooms growing out of the woodwork. “Things we loved: Wonderful hosts, very friendly and communicative! Cast iron pans and multiple coffee making methods available for use were a plus! Cool bath/shower.
