「A good room and great location. Dinner was spoilt by burned meat in the steak an ale pie which was below the standard of all else at this hotel. Would stay there again. 」

「Room was nice but small . Breakfast staff friendly. Considering it was double would.not expect bathroom to.have a small.cloakroom size sink with no where to put anything and shower cubicle not spacious . Bed comfy. Felt we got short straw on room . Bar feels odd having to register for a table to sit inside and felt conducive to a warm welcome. Chose not to eat in pub 」

「Due to road closure it was a challenge locating hotel, but the stay was well worth it. Hotel was quaint, clean and efficient. The food was great and the staff was wonderful. Sue was exceptional!」

「Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We arrived too late to eat at the pub. A take away was recommended but they couldn't deliver. Bar tender and her sister offered to collect for us. Ever so grateful. Comfy bed. Quiet. Cosy 」

「It is a great property in a lovely rural location, yet only a mile or so from Alston. Furnished to a high standard the cottage had all you could need for a comfortable stay (even though we picked a very wet 2-3 days). We enjoyed our all-to-brief stay, and look forward to returning, hopefully when the weather is better and we can enjoy the outside patio area with it's wonderful views.」

「We stayed 1 night. Our studio--sitting room, large bathroom, and bedroom--was very spacious with many amenities: coffee/water/materials for eating in. Well appointed--comfortable mattress, beautiful bedding, great bathroom--comfortable couch and small table for eating. Excellent value. More than 1 venue for food--different styles. We only sampled breakfast--the granola parfait was perfect. 」
