Cute cottage 2 miles outside of Amboise. Very quant 3 bedroom. Sleeps 6 comfortably. Town was a great location for visiting Chateaus and wineries.

Francoise was a wonderful host and though she didn't speak English and we didnt speak French, Google Translate meant we we were able to communicate perfectly satisfactorily.The house is rather quaint but it's delightful, was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. It is located on the outskirts of Amboise so you will need a car to get anywhere in the town or the area. Amboise is close to numerous chateaux and wineries and the house is an excellent base for day trips in the Loire region.We stayed 5 nights and apart from the house not having a Smart TV we were more than satisfied with the house and the location. We highly recommend Francoise's property.

Wir hatten angenehme Tage in dem Ferienhaus.Es liegt ca. 5 Autominuten von Amboise entfernt in einem kleinen Dorf außerhalb.Das Haus war sehr sauber und wir hatten für 5 Personen ausreichend Platz.Stühle und Sitzgelegenheiten sind ausreichend vorhanden. Schlafzimmer und Bad, sowie Küche liegen auf verschiedenen Ebenen. Muss man sich erst dran gewöhnen, aber das geht schnell.Auch ein schöner Garten ist vorhanden, den wir gerne genutzt haben.Leider gab es in der Umgebung wenig Möglichkeiten zum Schwimmen. Bei über 30 Grad wäre eine Abkühlung schön gewesen. Aber damit hätten wir uns auch im Vorfeld befasst müssen. Im Haus gab es Klimaanlagen, was natürlich zum Pluspunkt zählt.Das einzige Manko, war der Backofen der für uns gewöhnungsbedürftig war, da er zur erreichten Gradzahl sich dann ausstellt.

Adorable, charming little house

This house is adorable and convenient to the chateaux of the Loire Valley, and the local grocery store/ gas station. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. On this topic, the property owner did come unannounced while we were gone to water the gardens. Everyone (including the owner) was a bit surprised when we came back from our chateau excursions to see her there. So, maybe in the future, advance notice to the renter would resolve this. I still give the property a 5 star rating and would stay again. The owner is very nice and, knowing we were newly weds, was so sweet to have given us a bottle of champagne to enjoy together upon our arrival.The town of Amboise is great with lots of restaurants and things to do for visitors of all ages and my husband, who hates urban driving found it extremely easy to navigate.

Amboise Stay

The property was as advertised and we really enjoyed the beautiful outdoor area to eat some meals together. We stayed during a heat wave and the house was nice and cool. We would happily stay here again.

Amboise Stay

Overall we were pleased with the stay though there were areas that could be improved. These include lack of comfortable outside seating-just hard seats and uncomfortable folding loungers. The interior also lacked comfortable seating. We didn’t like having to strip all beds at the end of the stay.Franchise was very helpful, property just needs some updating.

A truly lovely home in Amboise

Francoise has a lovely home, with lots of space and a fantastic patio. It is beautifully decorated and is well stocked with cups, glasses (for any beverage), cutlery (oyster knives!), pots, pans and just about anything you need. We really enjoyed our stay. The home is very close to Amboise, but it is recommended that you have a rental car as the walk to town would be difficult. However, the drive into town is very easy. Parking is available. We were delighted with this home and would highly recommend it!

Well appointed cottage

The property was spacious with plenty of room to relax both indoors and out. The kitchen was well equipped and the laundry was an extra bonus. We arrived by car so being able to park outside easily was an extra bonus.

Loire Valley Gem

Great location just outside of the vibrant town of Amboise. Our family of 3 absolutely adored this place and just what we needed to explore the beautiful Loire Valley wine region; mostly touring the very accessible and well known AOC of Vouvray minutes drive away. The town of Amboise is also only minutes away. Our hostess Francoise couldn’t have been more accommodating. Thanks Francoise for making our stay in the Loire Valley so very special and memorable. Much appreciated - this is a special place and hopefully we will be back to enjoy sometime in the near future.

Relaxing in Amboise

After almost a week in Pairs, we went down the Loire Valley to explore the chateaux. This gite in Amboise was perfect for our get away. Very conveniently located to the village where there is excellent dining, patisserie/boulangerie, brasseries, and the Chateau Amboise. We also stumbled onto a market area that is available every Friday and Sunday. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay, and the gite was perfect for our visit. Francoise was very helpful and got us settled into the gite comfortably.

Cosy cottage on the hill

Françoise was a fabulous host, who exemplified the best of French hospitality. She was very gracious with her time explaining everything (despite my very broken French). The cottage is well appointed with the necessities for making a comfortable base camp when visiting the grand château of La Loire. It was a fabulous time, and our host could not have been more amazing.

Charming cottage with access to many Chateaus and Da Vinci history

We loved the quiet location of this little cottage. It is quirky and has split levels and an interesting floor plan. The host is charming and very helpful. The cottage is very convenient and surprisingly close to many sights of interest. The decor is a mixture of French country charm and history. We enjoyed the washing machine and the kitchen supplies. (Would not recommend for anyone with mobility challenges as split levels could be limiting.) Amboise is very interesting especially if you are an ardent fan of Leonardo Da Vinci and his work, ultimately his final resting place.

Lovely home

The home was very clean. The owner takes very good care of the property. It was too far to walk into town, but we had a car. The area around this property was charming. She does have air-conditioning, but they are small units. One upstairs one downstairs the unit does have one full bathroom downstairs and a sink and shower in one area of the upstairs and then a separate toilet. We all enjoyed our stay. François was very helpful and getting us reservations for dinner. She only speaks French, but we used our Google translator, and it all worked out

Lovely property

The house and yard were exactly as described, beautifully decorated and SUPER clean! We were 5 adults and had plenty of space, and ate outside on the terrasse every day. Host very friendly with good suggestions of restaurants and things to do. Highly recommend! Short drive to Amboise, about a 50 minute walk.

Great base for visiting Loire Valley

Wonderful host, immaculate lodgings. Near small supermarket, boulangerie. We were 3 adults, 1 teenager. The latter slept on a futon in one of the 3 bedrooms.
