Our group of 9 thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Lakeside Retreat in Amery Wisconsin! From the very start, property owner Trish was great to work with, so helpful and patient with our many questions about the house, giving detailed directions on how to spot the driveway for this secluded property.
Upon entering the house, I knew right away that we had a good week ahead. It was spotless and fresh. The kitchen well laid out and fully equipped with cookware, dishes, flatware and glasses. Appliances extremely new and sparkling clean. The beds were comfortable, the towels plush and plentiful, and the linens crisp.
The huge windows in the living room beautifully frame the gorgeous views of the surrounding lawns, the docks, and the lake beyond. There were areas to lounge on each of the four levels providing quiet spots for anyone needing a break away from the group fun.
We particularly enjoyed the game room in the walkout level and the screened porch just off the kitchen. In the evenings we rotated between the two, playing pool, darts and foosball in the game room and card games on the screened porch, enjoying the evening breeze.
And the lake... We spent hours bobbing in the clear water on the "floaties" we brought with us. The kayaks, the big lily pad and the standing paddle boards thoughtfully provided by our hosts were also a hit!
Truthfully this was one of the best places our group has enjoyed on our annual trips. (If not THE best.) We will be back!
