This two bedroom one bath lake front cottage is located just two miles down river from historic downtown Amherstburg Canada and just 1/2 hour south of the Ambassador bridge. This wine country cottage features a full gourmet kitchen with high end appliances and a beautiful unobstructed view of Lake Erie. Watch the sailboats and freighters go by as you sip wine on the deck, or take a short ride to downtown Amherstburg to enjoy dinner along the river. The cottage is perfectly located in the southern Ontario wine country.

Perfect little cottage
Amazing! Had the best time. Loved watching the ships, boats, and airplanes on a daily basis. Sunsets were incredible!! Only thing we didnt love was access to water, was a bit difficult getting up and down the ladder. The town of Amherstburg is a beautiful town, with lots to do...and just a short drive away!

Sunsets are beautiful
The cottage is charming and the sunsets are beautiful. The cottage is decorated with charm I had a hiccup with the door locking on me and the host came right away You need to climb a ladder down to the water it’s interesting. The cleanliness of the cottage was so so as mentioned previously the vacuum was dirty and smelled unpleasant. I would throw it away and the filter was full of dust. It’s a cottage but still should and could Clean better.

What a quaint place!! It was a perfect little getaway for my husband sipping our coffee and listening to the lapping waves while watching the boats go by. Just the right amount of tranquility and relaxation needed. Micki was a wonderful host, who was always just a message away, responding very quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Cottage rental
We visited Amherstburg to spend the New Year holidays with family. We were happy the host allowed us to bring our furry friend & with prompt responses to any communication we needed to share with the host prior to coming. Having rented several rental properties we do need to share this property could have been cleaner :( The grounds have not been raked & the entranceway/ door frame area was covered in leaves, dirt & spider webs. We noted spider webs inside on lamp shades, in corners of every rooms and on ceilings. The fridge filter indicator light is showing it needs changing. The couch springs unfortunately have springs pushing up all cushions rendering them impossible to sit on and my husband thought he was sleeping on what he describes as a trampoline in the second bedroom because the springs and mattress need replacing as do all the pillows. When I vacuumed the vacuum bag has not been emptied or changed— the dust and odour from the vacuum was very bad. The washing machine door to allow soap doesn’t open either and so this too was disappointing. We chose to overlook our concerns and not to contact the host with these and other concerns because we were celebrating the arrival of a new grandchild and really didn’t want to be interrupted with maintenance. Perhaps (because this unit appears to be more of a seasonal rental) our observations are because it’s winter however knowing when we were arriving we really would have appreciated a cleaner environment.

Wonderful Stay!
Beautiful sunsets, lovely quaint cottage, very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Comfy bed and loved the tub. Kitchen was nicer in person than in the pictures. Host was available and so accommodating. Definitely want to go back.

Beautiful views
We had a wonderful stay and spent the majority of the time outside watching the boats go by and enjoying the gorgeous sunsets and breezes. The home was the perfect size for our family of 4. We would absolutely stay again when we are in the area.

Quaint Cottage
Very nice place. Wish access to water was as seen in pictures. There is a 5step ladder needed to access water and ladder could be upgraded for better safety as it wobbles. Other than that cute place would recommend it.

Amazing Sunsets. Peaceful Vibe. True Lakehouse.
We had a wonderful week away at Pat's Place. To wake up to the sound of the waves lapping at our little private beach is a sound that I won't soon forget. Hosts where accomodating and helpful. The old fashioned claw foot tub is a spa lovers delight. We most definitely will return.

Perfect Lake House!
Pat's Place is the definition of "Lake House". Beautiful, comfortable and quirky! Loved the authenticity and it was beautifully set up with so many special touches. The kitchen is a dream and the bed was so comfortable. It was a wonderful place for my family to gather to celebrate my father's life. Adam and Mickie were so accommodating and made special arrangements to transfer the keys, etc. My only criticism is that the sectional cushion needs some resetting. We will be back in next June.
