「Disappointing. On arrival to the room, there was a distinct musty smell. Not pleasant and still present after opening the windows. No WiFi in the room. Breakfast was almost non existent. For a pub/hotel that promotes its food service and quality, a couple of boxes of cereal and a few miniature pastries was not what was expected or advised. A cooked choice would be expected (and was advertised)」

「The Manor is a grand building in very nice grounds. My room was very tired and I arrived to no tea,coffee or water in the room and the bathroom toiletries were all empty. It took several hours for these to be filled which meant after a long journey I was unable to shower. The bathroom itself was very tired and could have done with an update. Dripping tap which was very hard to turn on and off and really could do with new shower cubicle. The curtains were hanging off hooks in the bedroom...

「The property is lovely and has a very traditional English feel which we appreciated, however the entire property lacks any ventilation/airflow - suffice to say there is also no air conditioning - which made the rooms simply insufferable during a heat wave. Recognizing that the climate has changed, management needs to provide at minimum a fan per room to enable some degree of ventilation and air movement during summer months if they expect guests to be able to sleep and enjoy the facilities.」

「A very tired old building but bed, bedding & towels were good & we thankfully didn’t pay a lot. A lot of road noise, in what seemed a sleepy & pretty village, more so with the window open on warmer days. Close to beautiful open spaces. Can’t recommend the building or staff who can’t say ‘good morning’ or ‘how is your stay?’ but the cleaning staff were brilliant & it worked for us, attending an event in MK. 」
