「Dated requiring refurbishment also when we opened bedroom there was loads of birds droppings on the corner of the window cill because there was a house Martin or swallow had been nesting therefor had to close window and get no fresh air. 「We had a lovely short stay at Macbeth’s Hillock. The cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed. We mainly stayed there overnight while travelling, but I also cooked dinner there, which worked very well. The location is peaceful, close to local sights, and right next to a farm with beautiful sheep, which made the stay feel even more charming. A very pleasant place for our short stay.」

「Book it! Loved the stay. Room was cozy and perfect for our needs. Ocean was a very short walk. So beautiful. Simon was fast and easy to reach through the app. And extremely friendly. Eat at the Golspie Inn. Delish! And so friendly there. Golspie golf was great!Side note, DO NOT use the local ATM for exchange rate. Fee was extremely high. Ripoff! Just use your credit card. 「The property was nice and clean. Parking was easy, right on the property. Located right on the beach and footpath, so the ocean view was nice. The owner supplied all of the usual conveniences in the kitchen and bath. I was concerned about the Alexa device that seemed to be always listening, so we unplugged it. The radiator beside the tele was emitting an electronic signal, but I could not find the actual source. We were unable to operate the heating, so it was a little chillier than we expected....

「We had a great time at Sluice Keepers Cottage however the road can be noisy during the day but the cottage is blissfully quiet at night and that is the main thing. Lovely views over Loch Fleet with a great variety of birds to watch. The cottage is really well equipped and very comfortable. Lots of places to visit in the area and a great Sunday roast can be had at The Stags Head in Golspie with very friendly staff.
