Set in peaceful countryside, Trebor Cottage lies just over a mile from the nearest town of Annan. Go into the town on a fine day, where you can enjoy a meal or a drink in the many pubs and restaurants. This delightful area has plenty for all ages including beaches and cliff top walks, golf courses, fishing, many historic sites and castles, and lovely little towns and villages to visit. Just 2 miles along the coast is Powfoot, created in the 1790’s as a sea-bathing resort. Set just above the beach, it has an excellent golf course, one of several along this coastline. The annual spectacle of ’Annan Riding of the Marches’, a cavalcade of more than 100 horses riding through the streets of the town, is held in July, or why not discover Annandale Distillery and enjoy a fine single malt whisky?
