"Amazing every time we stay, glad we finally tried the hot tub room, it lived up to expectations."

"The hotel is in a perfect location. The decor is spotless. Some amazing chandeliers!!! The staff were so charming and helpful. Breakfast was great. large dining room with self service buffet having everything you desire which was frequently topped up. The bar drinks were expensive though. £25 for 2 glasses of white wine seemed way too much to us. The rooms do differ in size a lot though so I would go for the biggest you can afford if you want a view and space to move around. Beds are really comfortable and a good size."

"Outside is not much to look at but the interior is quite modern with a "boat house" feel to the restaurant. Room not the most spacious but adequate. Breakfast was excellent with wide buffet choice and good quality. Spa/ swimming pool is very good. Over priced for the level of accommodation but the Lakes location contributes to the pricing."

"Not so great bits - Considering the high price of the room, the room we were allocated was very small in comparison to the other rooms The English breakfast was sadly tasteless and we felt we were an inconvenience to the breakfast staff when waiting to be seated and ordering toast etc Parking is not on site (tight to enter and keypad is very low) charged at £25 per stay and only valid for 1 hour after checkout Good bits - great central location, room and bathroom was well equipped, maintained and very clean, the lounge area has lovely views across the lake"

"The room was clean only slight negative was the extractor fan in the bathroom was slightly noisy. Parking was fine and we were able to park late morning and then check in late afternoon and not try find parking in Bowness which was helpful. As anyone that had checked out that morning had gone. The Breakfast was lovely and good selection."

"We love this hotel and its' location. Our main criticism didn't affect our stay, it's just that it is rather tired in places. Everywhere downstairs and the landing was perfect. Our bedroom furniture was very tired and the carpets had some permanent marks. The outside of the property is also very tired, a lot of paint is flaking and the gardens aren't as well maintained as they could be, lots of weeding needing to be done. It is a lovely quirky hotel and it's a shame these things let it down a little."
