I “Haile” recommend the Haile Resort in Arba Minch. The culinary offerings were high caliber. Great prices/value and always fresh. There are even some produce grown on the property. A fantastic view from the room and throughout the property. There are offerings for day trips or you can take a taxi to the downtown area and cruise around the community. You can pay with credit card or Ethiopian birr. I recommend you come to Arba Minch with your foreign currency already exchanged in Addis Ababa or you will have to go to the local banks and make change there. The locals expect Ethiopian birr not foreign currency. Overall it’s a quite peaceful community. The staff is very pleasant and everyone speaks English and Amharic. The customer service is top notch. Lots of attention to detail. Definitely a high caliber resort experience.

Our family recently spent four wonderful days at Haile Resort in Arba Minch, Ethiopia, and the experience exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness of the staff. Whether interacting with the manager, reception team, restaurant staff, waitresses, spa personnel, or swimming pool attendants, we consistently received outstanding service. What stood out most was the remarkable consistency of hospitality across every department. Everyone seemed genuinely committed to ensuring guests have a memorable and comfortable stay. One aspect that made our stay especially memorable was the way the staff treated our toddler. Traveling with a young child can sometimes be challenging, but the Haile Resort team made it incredibly easy and enjoyable. During meals, many staff members would happily take our little one for a walk around the resort, interact with him, and keep him entertained so that we could enjoy our meals. Their kindness, patience, and genuine affection toward children made us feel like part of a family rather than just hotel guests. It is rare to find such sincere care and attention. The level of customer service was exceptional. Whenever we needed assistance—whether related to the hotel itself or activities outside the resort—the staff were always ready to help. If you want to explore the beautiful surroundings of Arba Minch, arrange transportation, visit local attractions.

Our recent stay at this hotel will undoubtedly remain etched in our memories for a long time. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality from the staff, making us feel incredibly welcomed. The beautiful scenery surrounding the hotel added to the overall charm, creating a perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. However, our experience began with a bit of frustration. The shuttle service from the airport kept us waiting longer than expected, as the driver attempted to convince others to join us. Initially, this made us feel undervalued, but our concerns faded quickly when the hotel staff went the extra mile to compensate for the delay, despite us not voicing any complaints. The culinary experience at the hotel was delightful! We particularly enjoyed the fresh juices, with the lemongrass juice being a standout that we had never tasted before. It was refreshing and unique, adding to our overall enjoyment of the meals. Our time at the hotel was exciting and filled with wonderful moments, and while we could have easily stayed longer, we felt the urge to explore other places as well. We absolutely loved our stay at Haile!! The view was AMAZING, the food was great and the staff were terrific. We swam in the pool everyday and enjoyed the gym as well. We were sad to leave and we will be back!

Exceptional service

My experience at Haile Resort was nothing short of exceptional. The service stood out as one of the best I’ve ever received. The facility is immaculate, and the rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and equipped with all the amenities you could need. We stayed in the Grand View Room, which was both refreshing and breathtaking. The staff were incredibly polite, friendly, and eager to assist—especially Eden and Fasika, whom I interacted with the most during my stay. They made us feel genuinely welcomed, like part of the family. The food was another highlight. I especially enjoyed the Asa Dulet, and the variety of fresh fruit juices was amazing. I became absolutely obsessed with the soursop juice—it was truly to die for! Haile Resort sets a shining example for the service industry in the rest of the country. Highly recommended!
