“Overall it was a wonderful experience! The owner was so nice the place was comfortable and clean with three bedrooms and 5 beds! Two bathrooms across from one another so conveient! “We have been here before. This is our second stay. We love the tin roof cabin. We call it the girl scout cabin because of the layout of the beds but we heard it used to be a nunery. Either way it is a spectacular property. We were traveling with all of our children and spouses. We love The Abbey Kitchen, Elephant Rocks, Johnsons Shut-Ins, and new this time we rafted with Parks Bluff. A great trip. Two things; the listing says toaster and we didn't see one. Also the air wasn't working……

“An adorable property with everything we needed in the kitchen. Including tea and coffee. Everything for the bbq and fire pit were also on site which was nice. A stack of games and Netflix available. Comfy beds. Plenty of space for 8 adults. Quick communication from the owner. Watch your step from the laundry into the kitchen. It took a few of us out. We had a lovely stay and were sad to leave. ”

The area had been hard hit by the tornadoes in the Spring, but with hard work and determination Mark and Sandy have cleaned up the debris and refurbished what needed to be in a timely manner. “overall we had a great stay. everything was as expected. Justin was great to communicate with. The mattress on the murphy pull out bed on the wall was pretty stained so we did not feel comfortable using it. We brought a blow up air mattress so that saved us. They did have a blow up mattress there but it wouldn't hold air. we would go back if we planed another float trip to the black river. ”

It is conveniently located within a 30 minute drive to both Elephant Rocks and Johnsons-Shut-Ins State parks. The host's instructions were clear and easy to follow.
