I loved this well-appointed, stylish hotel in Archer City, 30 minutes from Wichita Falls. I stayed one night before the Hotter N Hell 100 recently and can't say enough about the accommodations and service. The hostess was very thoughtful and went out of her way to make sure I had a good experience, providing a place to store my bike overnight and providing a goodie bag with water and snacks the morning of the ride. The room was comfortable, with good quality mattress, towels, and toiletries. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay again if I get the chance.

This was a read trip destination of its own, beautiful friendly and restful step back in time. We really enjoyed the front porch talk with others that stayed there. A community TV room during the world cup and re cecommendation of the restaurant across the street.

The Historic Spur Hotel is a wonderful place to stay if you appreciate genuine Texas history, character, and hospitality. I was in the area to ride my recumbent trike in the Hotter’N Hell Hundred cycling event in Wichita Falls that weekend. The hotel has an old-fashioned charm that you simply cannot find in a modern chain, while my room was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. The owner was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and accommodating. She made me feel at home and went out of her way to help me safely store my recumbent trike. I truly appreciated knowing that both I and my equipment were well cared for. My stay felt personal rather than commercial—more like being welcomed into a historic Texas home than simply renting a room. If you are visiting Archer City or traveling through the area, I highly recommend the Historic Spur Hotel. I would gladly stay there again.

We loved staying at the Spur Hotel. Dottie, the owner, is friendly and helpful. Even saw her across the street at the diner and we stopped by the table to say hello. Not much to do in this small town, but if you need somewhere to stay on your journey, I would definitely recommend The Spur Hotel!

First time stay.

My daughter and I spent one night at the Spur hotel and it was wonderful. Everything was perfect and couldn’t ask for more! Very clean, comfortable and very pleasant. Cute room!! Now that we know about u we will b back to stay. Thank you for a very memorable stay. Gentlemen at check in was very nice!
