「The Gatehouse is amazing and the rooms 5 star. The receptionist was amazing pick us up and drop us off after lovely meal and drinks. Restaurant The restaurant staff were lovely and it was an extremely busy night for them. Starter was selection of cooked meats and wafers on wood board. Had steak with chunky fries and the sauce was amazing. Overall the food was star of the show. The lounge was quiet and classy the bar manager was a class act and great professional presence. 」

「Property was nice enough, location good and the pub opposite was lovely. The company that run the property though are terrible. Sykes Cottages trying to scam us out of money for property damage that is unreasonable and without evidence. They send a message via their website that has no way of responding to except for Whatsapp. But no one monitors or replies via whatsapp. 」

「The room was ok but had some red dye dripped down radiator.morning staff were useless two girls chatting instead of working and no breakfast was replaced so waiting over 30 min for food and then no other items of food left 」

「Lovely hosts and a very generous cooked breakfast with quality ingredients and big pot of tea plus lots of toast! Room was very spacious and comfortable with a balcony for warmer weather - lovely views to the other side. Decor is somewhat dated and bathroom could do with update but everything scrupulously clean, loads of hot water and everything very comfortable. Could not have asked for more.」
