"The house is, technically, as described but there are a few design issues that made it hard to use. The ladder, which is needed to access the loft, blocks the bathroom door. So if you have it in place for climbing, it has to be moved to open the loo door, then moved back to climb back up again. We have stayed in tiny houses before and found them easier to maneuver around. Which would be fine but at this price it should be somewhat more comfy. Caveat Emptor"

"The apartment was very clean, had all the basic amenities that I could ask for with one exception: heat. The heat in the apartment didn't appear to work or at least not well. I didn't spend a whole lot of time in the apartment but, while I was there, despite the heat being turn up to the maximum, it never warmed any more than 11 C. Had to specifically purchase extra blankets and sleep in a sweater."

"Some outlets in the room didn’t work. Not much sound isolation, could hear the Neighbors TV all night. Power went out for a couple of hours in the morning, when it came back on, the heater didn’t work anymore for the remainder of our stay. We called the front desk to tell them and they seemed disinterested in helping, which no one did. Breakfast was fine but weird how they used grocery store dinner wedges as home fries and the cheapest, thinnest, cold bread imaginable. They don’t even have a menu for their restaurant available in the rooms, or a menu we could take back to the room at the restaurant itself. We normally stay at Microtel when in Antigonish, but decided to give Maritime Inn a try this time. Will definitely pay the extra to visit Microtel from now on."
