"The room was very small and dark. The bed was soft and the pillows rock hard. The door wouldn’t lock which as a single woman was very worrying for me. I called reception and was told I could move room but it was 11pm and I was very tired and was undressed. Consequently I had a poor nights sleep as I was worried someone could get in. There was no bedside light so I had to leave my phone on all night. The EV chargers were extortionate. "

"Overall was good. But confusing with breakfast cost as I hadn’t prepaid. Was told at check in cost was £15 for breakfast or £10 if paid in advance. Paid £10 for the first morning with no problem. Next night went to reception to pay for next morning and was told there was no discount and cost was £15 which I declined. No big deal but an inconsistent experience. Nice hotel overall."

"The good bits: Room was a good size, bed was comfy, as we're the pillows and everything was very clean. Breakfast time booked to avoid overcrowding, function room activities couldn't be heard from the bedrooms. Not so good bits: window was edged with green growth externally, bathroom mirror lights not working, dated shower fitting over the bath. Hospitality tray ok, usual choice, breakfast not very inspiring and not very warm. Carpets in communal areas showed signs of damage and were stained in parts. Staff were friendly and helpful. All in all a decent enough place but not overly impressed especially as the pool and spa access is outside the hotel - not great on a cold and windy evening"

"It was okay for what we needed and the price reflected that. It felt a bit tired and in need of some tlc. We only needed the room for one night after going to see someone at the arena. Great location for that within walking distance luckily we arrived at the hotel early because parking spaces are limited. The room was very compact and so was the toilet and shower facilities, the only refreshments that were available were in the reception and that was quite chaotic due to the small area it was in and the fact you had to pay for a token to then put in a machine so we didn’t bother. They did have a vending machine but it was too crowded when we wanted to use it so again didn’t bother. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. So don’t expect anything more than what you pay for and you’ll be fine. "

"The room needs to be cleaned better, foot of dust behind the sofa and looked like previous guests bottle tops poked out from under it. We were checked in by what can only be described as a rude person he didn't look at me once and for someone who is deaf and lipreads it's pretty annoying. I know i dont carry a flashing sign but your supposed to talk to your guest. Julie however in the breakfast room was wonderful works so hard and was so pleasant an greeted us with a smile got us a table ready. The gentleman from the front desk was dragging his feet nothing was a rush an was busy bad mouthing staff to guests behind us. "

"Lovely clean room perfect for my family of two young children staying … Clean and comfy bedroom, plenty of added extras - mini fridge, iron, hairdryer etc. pool was lovely - warm pool and steam room/jacuzzi very nice. Tasty brekkie with so many options including a cute children’s table! Staff friendly and helpful and went to extra mile to make us a hot chocolate on the evening for our children with cute smiley faces on when that technically wasn’t on sale at the bar… We will definitely be going back! Thank you "
