“Warm cabin with relaxing back yard”

“Everything about our stay here was lovely. The place was clean, quiet, and relaxing. I would definitely visit again.”

“The property was very clean (except for a filthy coffee maker) but it is definitely no frills compared to other places we've stayed. It's in a quiet neighborhood but the description of the property is a bit misleading. The "lake view" and "on a lake" means there is a small shallow pond filled with algae on the edge of the back yard. There are front and back porches but there is no furniture on either so they are useless. There is a fireplace but it didn't work for us. The biggest issue is the……

“The Penguin Cabin is exactly as described. It is clean, spacious and has so many amenities. We hiked, played games and watched movies. The cabin is conveniently located near Mount Rainier National Park. Communication with the host was excellent. We had an exceptional stay at the Penguin Cabin.”

“Spiders,spider webs. 1/3 roll of toilet paper, 1/2 roll of paper towels with no extras,including no extra trash bag. Trash in Bathroom full of feminine hygiene used products upon arrival. Binder indicated cleaning supplies under the sink. None in Bathroom or kitchen. Chairs by creek filthy and we had nothing to clean them. Towels and bed linens clean, but area rugs are well worn.Railing on walkway to creek in bad repair. Fallen tree across walkway to creek. Bathroom and kitchen light fixtures……

“My wife and I stayed at the property for only a couple of nights, as part of a larger vacation trip. Even with only a short time available, we really loved our stay. The property is very well cared for and all of the amenities were outstanding. The rental just exudes log cabin charm, and of very high quality. The location is really helpful because it is only an easy 5 minute drive to enter Mr. Rainier park. Using the hot tub after a full day of hiking was a great way to end the day. The……

“First, the water smells like rotten eggs. It is well water full of sulfur. That should not be used except for flushing toilets let alone for bathing and cooking. The entire cabin smelled so strong with sulfur 24/7. It’s disgusting. Second, this is not a two bedroom cabin. It is one bedroom and a living room with sofa bed. I am disappointed especially given that I paid almost $570 per night for three nights. It ruined my family vacation.”

“The cabin provided an excellent getaway for our family vacation. Our six year old loved the board games and the novelty of the loft, but we were uncertain if we were allowed to use the playground at the park for members down the road. Overall we had a great stay with lots of short and sweet adventures that the whole family enjoyed. ”
