Staunton House is a comfortable three-bedroom bungalow set just outside Athenry and about twenty minutes from Galway City. It sleeps up to seven guests, making it a practical choice for families or groups who want an easy base for exploring the area. The house stands on its own grounds with a large garden and plenty of parking. Inside, you’ll find wooden floors throughout and all the everyday essentials you’d expect. A cot and high chair can be provided on request. The living, dining and kitchen spaces are open plan. The sitting area has an electric wood-effect stove and a new large TV. The dining table sits beside the patio doors overlooking the back garden, so it’s a bright spot for meals. The kitchen is well equipped, and there is a separate utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and an additional fridge. As this is a bungalow, all rooms are on one level. There are three bedrooms: a double room with an ensuite shower room, a room with a double and a single bed, and a twin room. The latter two share the main bathroom, which has both a bath and a separate shower. The house has an old-style feel, with simple comforts and modern touches. It’s warm, tidy and welcoming. Wi-Fi can be arranged for an extra charge based on usage. Michelle will be able to help set this up when you arrive. Athenry offers plenty to see, including a restored Norman castle, St Mary’s Medieval Parish Church and a Dominican priory. Local activities include golf, horse riding and day trips to Connemara, the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher. Please note that pets are not permitted.
