High end hotel with amazing rooftop bar, pool and dining with a view of the Acropolis. Situated south of central Athens - great for the conference centre (next door) but is a 15min taxi/bus into the centre. Not the best designed hotel room I've been in and as a designer the furnishing has overtaken functionality - small things eg the shower water soaks the whole bathroom floor, nowhere to hang out your towels or layout your suitcase for un/packing. On the plus side - the bed was huge and comfy, able to Chromecast to the TV, full sized windows the width of the room, which flooded it with light, minibar if you use one and great service by all the staff. Thank you to the Hyatt Athens team!

Clean room - we are a family of 4 and our rooms were connected and it helped very much!! Breakfast was included and had an enormous spread with continental and Greek. Hyatt member here Avoid at all cost Far from a 5 star hotel not even 3 star No room service available, they don’t pick up the phone Room telephone no working Sauna and pool are filthy dirty, a real nightmare !!! They don’t make your room properly they forget coffee and towels, everyday we had a problem Again the spa is disgusting

The employees at the Grand Hyatt Athens are friendly and helpful. They offer a convenient shuttle service that drops you off and picks you up downtown Athens three times a day. Additionally, the Blue and Green Line Hop-On Hop-Off (C1 and C11) stops are just a 2–4-minute walk away. If you buy tickets for all three lines, including the Red Line, for two days (which cost us €28 each), you'll get excellent value and see all the major sights. This popular hotel offers comfortable beds and stunning city views from its rooftop. We are two Canadians in their late 60’s and do travel a lot since retirement. It’s family- and dog-friendly, making it a very welcoming place. The room we stayed in had a private bathroom, which is not always guaranteed in Europe. Just a 3-minute walk from the hotel is an excellent, authentic Greek restaurant called Maeina. Their chicken and beef soup is served in generous portions and is delicious, plus they make an amazing gyro. We stayed here for four days in December 2025 and highly recommend this hotel!

The restaurant staff were nice and accommodating. However, the location of the hotel is ok for public transport but when we were there, the buses, trains were always packed and crowded. We had to walk most of the time to access transport to nearby areas. The pillows were not fluffy, need 2-3 pillows to feel there is a pillow. The room service sandwiches and chicken nuggets were very dry, the creme brûlée was nice though. The noise from the road can be heard even with windows closed, ambulances and cars revving was very audible. The room was too small for 3 people but the bathroom was nice & big. The cooler fridge was not so cool. Lastly, the elevators were too small and very slow particularly during breakfast hours. I would give the hotel 3-3.5 stars out of 5

The room was clean, sufficient amenities provided, hassle free check-in and the hotel has couple of restaurants to explore depending upon your taste. The hotel staff from Reception, F&B staff and Concierge were all friendly and helpful. Overall an wonderful stay. Credit goes to the team and the Management.
