Spacious Retreat with Hot Tub, and Walking Trails

Welcome to Chevelle
This large retreat-style home is the perfect place for relaxation here in the Hocking Hills region. At the end of a winding driveway, and surrounded by trees, Chevelle will be a warm welcome at the end of a day of adventure in the hills!
Relax in the hot tub, or around the fire pit on the concrete patio. Or, spend the evenings on the screened in porch, listening to the sound of bullfrogs in the nearby seasonal pond.
Inside, is a massive living/dining area, with cathedral ceilings, and has doors leading to both the front porch and back patio.
The kitchen is fully equipped and features a gas range fit for a chef! The laundry room is just off the kitchen.
The master bedroom has a King bed, flatscreen TV, and large ensuite with a walk in closet.
Bedroom 2 is in an opposite wing, and also has a King bed, flatscreen, and large closet. A second bathroom is next door to bedroom 2.
Outside, you'll find a path down to the shared fishing pond and system of walking trails that wind around the woods.
Chevelle is also centrally located to everything the Hocking Hills region has to offer!

Spacious cottage, loved how the two huge bedrooms were separated from each other for added privacy. The screened-in patio was the perfect spot for morning coffee. Thanks so much!

All In all everything was great. The weather was not the greatest rain/ flooding all weekend. Hot tub was nice however with the rain a structure over it would’ve been nice. Place was very clean. We would stay there again!!

This house nicely accommodated 2 couples. Was conveniently located to all the hiking areas we wanted. Great communication from the owner. Would definitely recommend this to couples for a nice long weekend or week long stay.

House was amazingly kept.. has a awesome name "Chevelle". Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable, hot tub, fire pit and grill all setup for ready use.. overall super secluded and very peaceful location... our favorite was the huge screened in porch... definitely on my recommendations list

Great family weekend

We had wonderful weekend celebrating my birthday. The cabin was so spacious the beds were comfortable and the hot tub was so nice after a long day of hiking! We also really enjoyed the personal private fishing pond on the property. Everything was wonderful and we will definitely stay at this property again!

Great retreat

The house was lovely. It had everything we needed for a visit to the Hocking hills/Wayne Forest area. Unfortunately, we weren't able to enjoy the pond and outdoor spaces due to the weather. Beds were comfortable and it was only a ~10-15 min drive to the city. We would definitely stay here again.

Summer Bucket List Trip

We came to Hocking Hills to hike and enjoy all Nelsonville and the surrounding areas had to offer. Staying at your home was such a wonderful addition to our vacation. The spacious home with everything we needed, the amazing screened in porch and the hot tub were perfect. Our family truly enjoyed the trails behind your home as well. We highly recommend this little slice of heaven in one beautiful location.

Short getaway

My wife and I stayed here while my daughter was enjoying a recruiting weekend at Ohio University. This house was perfect for the 2 of us to just enjoy the weekend alone. The hot tub was clean (and hot!). There was a fire pit as well. The host let us check in early when I requested. All around a wonderful stay.

Peaceful getaway in the woods

My sisters and I spent a lovely long weekend at this house in the Hocking Hills area. Check in was easy, the home was immaculate and EVERYTHING was as described in the listing. We spent most of our time enjoying the outdoor space which has a comfortable patio situated around a fire pit. The screened in porch was perfect for nighttime card games and cocktails. We will definitely be returning.

We agree heartily with the many excellent reviews. The house is extra spacious and it's very clean and well-maintained. The hot tub worked well, we caught and released bluegill in the pond using hotdogs and bread as bait, we explored the trails on the property and hiked at Lake Hope State Park nearby, we used both grills for cooking and enjoyed sitting around the fire for hours. We would give six stars if we could!

Memorial Day weekend.

The property inside and out was amazing and beautiful. Very clean inside open and beautifully decorated. No outages no issues everything worked. The pond was nice has bluegill and a few bass. We will definitely be staying here again when we come down. When they say full equipped kitchen I'm used to that meaning a fridge, stove and a coffee pot so we packed for what we thought we needed. You don't need plates cups pans pots utensils they provide it all which was awesome!

Great Home for a Getaway

Stayed here with my three best friends from college and this house was perfect for us! The home is clean and spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. The beds are really comfortable and the towels are soft and plentiful! We utilized the entire house- ate dinner at the big round table, had drinks and played cards in the screened in porch, enjoyed the hot tub and sitting by a fire in the fire pit. We even walked down to the little pond and enjoyed seeing the lily pads in bloom. The owners were great. We didn’t have any issues with our stay whatsoever, so we didn’t need to contact them, but knew we could if we needed to. We plan on returning next summer!
