Perfect location in athens

First time in Athens for us and we didn't want to drive. This location was perfect for proximity to all of the landmarks we wanted to see. To my husband's delight it was surrounded by motorcycle shops.

Comfortable apartment in GREAT location.

Apartment is in a fantastic location. All the major archeological sites are within walking distance. Communication with host was very good. Air conditioner and wi-fi worked great.

the location was excellent, a short walk to the centre of things.Management were excellent in helping out. We used them for 3 trips by taxi, They were very reliable and accomadating as our incoming flight was delayed so time had to be adjusted and then they had to wait as we lost a bag. wasn't cheap but worth it. Bed was very good

The host was great, location great! But the apartment was very dirty. Shower had hair in it. Blankets had a moldy smell. The floors were so dirty that our feet were black.

We enjoyed our two night stay here in George’s apartment. The location is prime, only a few minutes walk to the Plaka. There was plenty of space for our family although we would have enjoyed a table for eating. George was a communicative host and helped us get settled in nicely. One word of warning - we did see several cockroaches during our stay. The apartment appeared clean so this may be a building issue rather than an issue with the apartment itself. It didn’t bother us too much - city living can be like that sometimes. Make sure to visit the little coffee shop called Coffee Joint right around the corner. The owners are so kind and the prices are amazing :)

Perfect location and great host

The property was perfectly situated. It was just as described on the website the host was very helpful and responded to all our questions. We did have an issue with the TV in the bedroom and George was right on it. We decided to utilize the transportation service provided by the host (from airport to rental place and back to airport). We were in constant communication with the taxi driver and all went well; not a bad service to have if willing to spend the money. Airport was rougly 35-40min away and it cost us a total of 90 euro (45 euro one way); we personally didn't mind. We discoverd Takis bakery which was roughly a 5-7min walk; we walked there almost everyday. Place is also is a sage area / neighborhood. It is facing a main street and also less than a mile from the Acropolis. Using google map, we were outside walking around at 11pm - midnight to find something to eat and felt safe. The only thing I would recommend to the host is that they consider getting a microwave in there. We had some leftovers and that's when we realized how convenient a microwave was. But definitely not a deal breaker. I would like to point out that the VRBO advertisement never said anything about having a microwave on the property; so, not their fault at all. I just think that a microwave will be a great addition. Keep in mind that Athens is extremely hot in the summer (we were there in July); please remember to pack the water bottle, sunglasses and hot. I will definitely recommend this place

Pros - The location was great for sightseeing. If you do an any tours through Key Tours, you get picked up nearly outside the apartment door. Air conditioner worked well and it’s very nice to have access to a washing machine.Cons - communication with host was not smooth. They were not very responsive through VRBO (how I booked) and sent communications through other means, requiring me to duplicate info. Better information about where the apartment was, once in the building, would be good. Strong smell in the kitchen and there were no cooking basics - not set up well to actually cook.
