Very easy check-in. The room was small, but incredibly clean. Perfect for my one night stay. They had nice soaps/shower stuff and y’all- they have the GOOD toilet paper! Not that thin, sandpaper junk you need 4 feet of every time you go.
Perfect stop along Highway 50 with excellent views!

Great room in cozy Austin, Nevada.
The room was spotless. Very clean with very comfortable bed and sheets.
The property manager was available and very responsive as we arrived.
Also very close walking distance to grandmas restaurant with great food.
We will definitely stay again in our next road trip.

No shops, one place to eat…hamburgers and fries are the only menu items.. very expensive $15.00 hamburgers, a can of coke was $3.00.. cash only. The cook,server was at least 90 and shuffled! The hotel was the closest to Bates Motel that you could get Gond outside of a studio lot. No hot water, the heat worked well… as it was rainy and snowed throughout the night.

‘Cozy’ really describes the room we stayed in! Although tiny, the accomodatuons were very clean, the sheets were crispn& white, the heater was perfect (it was 18 F that night!) and the bathroom was spacious. Highly recommend!
Austin is a very small town, but we ate a delicious chicken wings and fries dinner at a charming historic bar across the street (the only place serving food and drinks that night). The bar’s owner was a charming character and made our night a memorable one.

The room we stayed in had clearly been recently renovated. I wish I took pictures because our room was nicer than the photos here. Single queen bed and two very small nightstands with a small fridge and microwave. That’s all that fits in the small, cozy room. It was Dec so cold but the heater worked great. No one there when we checked in after 6pm and there was no cell service. Thankfully there was someone else staying g there that was in the parking lot when we arrived and they gave us the WiFi password so we could call the owner. They told us how to get the key and we go into the room without a problem. It’s a VERY small town with one gas station for gas and some groceries. But we knew this ahead of time. We just needed someplace to stay to try to see Berlin-Ichtyosaur state park.
