「The layout is nice, the view is wonderful. The noise level from highway is loud at times. The windows do not all have screens and some of them have openings that let in bugs. The kitchen is not well equipped with items, such as sharp knives, coffee, baking pans, or serving dishes. The pillows are terrible and the blankets are cheap.」

「My boys and I were looking for a nice place to go and get away from memorial weekend. The house is located close to the lake. We were able to rent a boat and have a nice day on the lake Saturday and then come back to a relaxing house for the rest of the weekend. We dealt with several severe storms. The owner was kind enough to reach out to us while we were on the lake to let us know that we were out of power, and that it should be back on soon.」

「The house was very reasonably priced so we did not go with high expectations. The location is great with spectacular views of Barren Lake. Everything is very simple with comfy beds and clean bathrooms. The rental was clean and comfortable. It could use updating but for the price it is more than reasonable and I can completely understand the owners not wanting to invest. Altogether we had a great time. Thank you」

「We loved this little cabin! It had everything we needed and was such a nice place to come back to after exploring mammoth caves! It was only a short 25 min drive to the park! We enjoyed the yard for our young kids to run around it and the farm fresh eggs were a nice touch!」

「We were in for my daughter's college graduation and while this was a 30 minute drive it was great to get away and be in the country on the lake. The house was exactly as portrayed, if not better. It had everything you needed from the kitchen to all the toys. Highly, highly recommend if you're looking to have a nice get away in the country.」

「We had an outstanding time at lake barren and our stay at the cabin was incredible. The photos don’t do justice for what the cabin really looks like. We will use this cabin again when we come back to lake barren. Very clean and has lots of amenities.」

「The She Shed was great. Cozy little spot. Stayed for three nights and slept great. The hosts we're awesome: helpful and hospitable. The cabin was stocked well enough that we could cook a little breakfast in the morning and head off to Mammoth Cave for some hiking during the day. Really happy I found this spot. Glamping is where it's at.」

「The house, deck, porch and property were wonderful and tastefully decorated and landscaped. It was so relaxing and had everything we needed down to comfy pillows and top quality bedding. It is quite a climb to go fishing but managable. There were 3 couples, we felt right at home and had a WONDERFUL time. We made great memories with great friends!!」
