“This hotel is no where close to a 4 star property! No kettle in the room for tea, when I asked the reception they said I can order tea from room service. Upon check in I asked the receptionist if breakfast was included in our stay and she said yes, during checkout we were told it wasn’t and that we had to pay extra for it. After checking in, we went to our room which was filled with flies, even few dead on the floor. I asked the receptionist if this could be sorted and they sent room cleaning……

“A beautiful farmhouse shaped like a fortress just outside of Calitri. The host is very accommodating and helped me make some reservations despite not speaking English/my Italian being no good. Waking up to the birds was a treat, the bed was cozy and the shower worked well. It would be fun to have a bunch of friends stay there for a week. Definitely requires a car, I thought maybe one could walk in and out of Calitri but it's an enormous vertical distance, it would take hours.”

They had prepared the apartment with lots of snacks and breakfast items , coffees, drinks, yogurts and plenty of drinks Clean beautiful linens Comfy beds Travel amenities including soaps, toothbrushes, hotel slippers and more including Rooms each equipped with their own air conditioning And all this with beautiful terraces and incredible views The entire city is a hidden gem and……

“We had an excellent stay here. The family (owners) are both warm and friendly, and the views are amazing. The room and bath are both spacious with a screened window for fresh air. Breakfast was typical Italian sweet breakfast, but they pivoted to accommodate my dairy allergy. Their on site restaurant is open for dinner on the weekends, and the food they served was delicious- my husband especially enjoyed the house made cheese and yogurt. Quiet and clean, with a super attentive owner who prepared us a lovely breakfast of homemade cakes and pastries 😋 with plenty of juices and coffee to go. Extra bonus, there is an excellent restaurant next door with superb food made on order - it takes a little longer than average to be served but it:s well worth the wait!!!!”
