Welcome to Hatteras Island! This cozy beach cottage is located just one back from the sands of the pristine Cape Hatteras National Seashore. With two bedrooms, one bath, and an open living and dining area, this is a perfect spot for your beach getaway. There is plenty of parking space, a covered area for equipment/gear, a fish cleaning station, outdoor shower, ROKU TV With Hulu Live, high speed Wi-Fi, and a shared laundry room. Beach access is across the street, and there are restaurants and shops within close walking distance. As a local resident, I can assist with any questions or concerns you may have during your stay, as well as point you in the direction of adventure and fun! I look forward to seeing you at the beach!

Perfect Getaway

Perfect for a small family. The place is comfortable and convenient to the beach, fresh seafood market, and restaurants. It is a short drive to the grocery store and an easy drive to Hatteras Lighthouse. The owner is more than hospitable and has excellent communication if needed, but everything was spelled out, and the house was up to our expectations. There was no need to get in touch with him. Exactly what we needed for just us. The only issue we had is if anyone is staying above, then it can get noisy, especially at night when sleeping. We will be back as long as we do not need anything bigger.

Perfect for a family of four

About the house: This house was CLEAN. The sunlight from the multiple sliding doors in the living room is amazing. This is a bright, cheery, clean, and comfortable home. The enclosed outdoor shower and smart hose were very helpful. The keypad door entry was great, too. About the owner: Friendly, helpful, and responsive. Made the whole rental process easy. About the location: This house is in the best spot in Avon. We walked to restaurants, ice cream, and gift shops. The beach access is across the street, which is quiet and has no traffic. About the beach: This house is in a great location in Avon. The beach was very wide and beautiful. There were no erosion issues. The beach access is over a steep, mature dune with partial wood planking, so it's best to leave your beach cart at home and use backpack chairs instead. But the climb over the dune is not challenging - our kids scampered up and down with no problem. Overall: Will definitely re-book here if we visit Avon again. Thank you for a great week!
