Great house and great view. Quite expensive but that is what you have to pay for Luxury.
Overall the facilities provided are superb, so please do not think this is a negative review, we really enjoyed our stay.
Local amenities are limited (e.g. Pubs / restaurants / etc.). This did not bother us as we were looking for a quiet retreat.
Just a couple of areas that could be improved to make the house a perfect 10:
1: There are lots of documents provided (3 boxes of them!) but these contain bus timetables and ferry timetables dating back almost 10 years, and old instruction manuals. E.G. it took us a while to work out how to use the induction hob. (We found two manuals but these were both for models other than the one fitted - presumably for the previous hobs, we could not find a manual for the current hob. Maybe it is there, but with 3 boxes to sift through we just pressed buttons randomly till we got it working...) Maybe someone can throw away anything that is no longer relevant.
2. There is a layer of dust under the furniture, it has not been moved for cleaning recently. (I was only looking to make sure the kids had not left any toys under the furniture).
3. The description of "home cinema" needs updating. We were expecting something grand so were a little disappointed when it is actually a TV smaller than the one we have at home hooked up to surround sound (which we have had at home since 1993)...
4. The WIFI is slow, looses connection regularly, and only works if you are close to the BT hub. Maybe BT is the best broadband provider in the area, but I doubt it...
5. We like poached eggs but despite there being a lot of pots and pans provided there is no egg poacher. (We just soft boiled the eggs and scooped them out, so not a big issue).
