This is not a Villa as advertise. It’s an apartment complex that looks like a villa. It is not private. The place is clean, but beds are extremely uncomfortable. There is no cleaning service available. We stayed 10 days without having bathrooms clean despite of requesting service. Location is great and convenient

Beautiful villa in a lovely setting

The villa is in a breathtaking setting where we watched beautiful sunsets from the olive grove & saw stars at night but was a short drive into Florence. The pool was lovely after a hot day in the city. We were conveniently near vineyards for wine tasting. The villa was perfect for our family of adult children & us. We ate several dinners in enjoying the wine we discovered during the day. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The manager was very kind to supply us with a few items to start our visit. The beds are very comfortable & the bathrooms are well appointed. We enjoyed spending time in the living room at the end of the evening. Carlotta was a great communicator & gave us excellent advise before we arrived. Pack bug spray if you are visiting during the summer & a pair of slides or flip flops will come in handy walking down to the wonderfully clean & tranquil pool. Do walk through the olive grove to enjoy a spectacular sunset with the Duomo in the distance. We will definitely return!

We could not have had a nicer stay. The Villa is absolutely beautiful. The interiors are exactly as shown on the website -- they are simply beautiful. The location is super: far enough away from all the crowds in Florence's city center, yet close enough to drive in for dinners or visit museums. We were in town to visit with family, and it was the perfect location. We would happily stay again.

This Villa exceeded all our expectations right from the start the grounds are beautiful, property manager there to greet us and continued to stay in touch throughout our stay. The Villa is stunning inside, super clean, very comfortable - hope to get back there again!

Under the Tuscan Sun

You really feel as though you are transported to the 1500's but with all the modern amenities. The location is conveniently located to the city of Florence. The hosts couldnt do enough to help us. They were available, knowledgeable, and.accommodating.

Perfect week at beautiful Tuscan Villa

Absolutely impeccable communication from the get-go. Villa was exactly as described - beautiful and clean, had amazing meal cooked by Jannet for son-in-law birthday, pool lovely, close towns adorable. Could not have asked for more! We'll be back most definitely!!

Prachtig huis op een mooie lokatie

We hebben erg genoten in deze fantastische villa. Het was erg warm tijdens ons bezoek, het prive-zwembad was daarom erg prettig. Kamers zijn ruim en verzorgd. Airco hebben we daarom zeer gewaardeerd. Het is een mooie uitvalsbasis voor bezoeken aan Florence en Toscane. Dat goed met de auto, maar ook met de bus. Bus 23 levert je af in het centrum van Florence. Fijne ontvangst door Jannet en fijne contacten vooraf met Carla.

Fantastic!

Villa Franchetti was more than we could've have asked for - beautiful, clean and authentic. Jannet went out of her way to help us organize a surprise birthday dinner for my husband, and I couldn't have done it without her! I would highly recommend the Villa - the location was perfect for accessing the many Tuscan villages. We were so sad to leave, but did so with wonderful and beautiful memories.

Amazing property

This home was truly one of a kind. It was built originally in the 11th century...it is beautifully restored with carpets, tapestries, paintings, etc of many different types. The home is very comfortable with large living spaces for a family to relax in. The pool was wonderful was well.Finally, Janet was so helpful. She even took us to the local grocery store!! It was great meeting her family. We will make this a family reunion spot in the future.

Fabulous private villa!

The property was everything that we had hoped for: privacy in a special, luxurious setting! The villa and surrounding property is stunningly beautiful and the amenities were very nice. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for privacy. Really, the only drawback I can think of has absolutely nothing to do with this beautiful property but more so the location. Even though it's only 5-6 miles to the center of Florence, if you don't rent a vehicle, expect to pay on average 80 euros a day round trip to the city (that's for a party of 6). Driving can be a challenge, and parking doesn't really exist in the city, so for us it made sense.

INCREDIBLE FIND JUST OUTSIDE OF FLORENCE!

This home is absolutely MAGNIFICENT. It's close enough to Florence to visit easily, but far enough away to enjoy quiet evenings by the pool after a long day of sightseeing. We absolutely LOVED our stay at Villa Franchetti: it is truly a remarkable property that is SPOTLESSLY clean and so comfortable! The beds are divine and the showers are large with great water pressure. The kitchen is a chef's dream and we were lucky enough to have breakfasts & dinners prepared for us by Jannet (by pre-arrangement: we highly recommend this! Our kids literally licked their plates). Staying at Villa Franchetti was truly a highlight of our vacation: Jannet is so lovely and welcoming and made our stay so easy (she called taxis for us when needed, gave recommendations, and was all-around a lovely, lovely person!). We loved using the pool after a hot day and the views from the pool were spectacular. This is a spectacularly restored home with the most gracious of hosts situated perfectly outside of Florence. It was so wonderfully comfortable and truly the pinnacle of our vacation. It is such a gem and we cannot wait to return!!!!
