The view of the dale, valley, mountains and trees is amazing. This hotel sits just by itself but it’s heaven placed! Parking is easy on the street, breaky is included in the price and Sam and the team make you feel at home with good food (it was pie day!), beer and a nice cozy restaurant with a view. Our room was squeaky clean, compact but super comfortable.

This property is set in the most beautiful location. There are sweeping vistas and the hotel makes the most of them with large windows in the dining room. There is ample free parking and the rooms are clean and homey. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious. I enjoyed the time spent here.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were staying to do the MacMillan Mighty Hike in Bakewell which meant leaving before breakfast, the staff made us sausage sandwiches to take with us so we’d have food before starting our hike. The atmosphere in the hotel was very pleasant with locals enjoying the bar and outdoor area along with guests. Our evening meal and breakfast on our second morning was delicious, served promptly and staff popped over to ensure everything was ok. The bedroom we stay in was clean and well kept and the views were stunning also!

After a very long walk it was a real treat to arrive at the hotel. A pint outside looking at the amazing view was really special. We stayed just the one night, it was a comfortable room and a large comfy bed with a fantastic view! A powerful shower with huge towels provided, it was a great way to start your day. An included cooked breakfast set us up for the day. Staff were most helpful and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely stay here again if in the area,

Lovely small hotel in a quiet little village with amazing views. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It is a perfect place to enjoy walking or just visiting the lovely houses nearby. Breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful, and the bar was well stocked with a good choice of beers, offering a range of classic pub fayre. The rooms and bathroom were spotless. Would fully recommend.
