Even if i didn't stay at Oscar's I would have went for dinner or lunch. Table service by the staff is 5 * and a beautiful ambience without paying exorbitant price's. Do yourself a favour and stay a couple of nights.

The bed was very comfortable beautiful sheets, needed a smaller pillow to sleep they were too high. The room location in the building was very noisy above venue room and the st noise on both nights not enjoyable

I'm glad you enjoyed the comfortable beds we have in our rooms. As our restaurant closes quite late on weekends for functions, guests can sometimes experience additional noise in the rooms. We endeavor to inform our guests of this on busy nights. We hope to see you again soon!

The only negative is the reserved parking at rear is usually taken up by non guest dining in the bistro area.

Nice clean property with a wonderful restaurant. The Eye Fillet steak was fabulous. Cooked to perfection - medium rare.

Great location, as we were informed very noisy Saturday night till 12. No good for light sleepers or going to bed early..

Oscars is a lovely, tastefully renovated old art deco building that houses a large restaurant, bar, function rooms as well as accommodation - upstairs. I arrived exhausted after a very long day & with a very heavy suitcase & a bad back - I recalled the booking website had said there was no lift, but didn’t realise all the rooms were up a staircase. I was not thrilled. But no problem - the delightful young girl at check-in arranged for the barman to take my case up. GREAT service that continued my entire stay. That same lovely young lady was there to check me out & brought my case down herself. She was so sweet & accommodating. 10 stars to her for such hospitality! There’s on site parking (a little hard to navigate exiting though if you have a big car & the car park is full). The room was huge, nicely decorated & warm thanks to the split system. And there was ROOM SERVICE with full restaurant menu - fabulous! The pizza was delicious, hot, fresh, well presented & delivered quickly. The huge bathroom had a spa bath (a little dated with a few cracks & missing jets, but very clean). Plentiful hot water, lots of towels & bathing products. The bed was just sooooo comfy! There’s fantastic blockout type blinds & drapes that kept it really dark for sleeping & the road noise wasn’t too bad considering it’s on a main road & didn’t disturb me at all with earplugs. I left next day refreshed after a really lovely stay made perfect thanks to the stellar service. I’ll be back for sure

The room was nice and well presented however right before staying they released an email stating on fri/sat nights they can have functions and music can be heard. Music was loud until midnight followed my a loud staff cleanup (bottles thrown in bin etc), when we had to be up at 5am the next day. Not what was expected especially with the price of the rooms. There was also visible dust floating in the air of the room in the sunlight that looked like steam there was so much of it. Having allergies this wasn’t great. Staff were lovely however.

We send a courtesy email to guests before their stay to inform them so they have a chance to request a quieter room if needed. We will follow up with staff regarding a quieter clean up.
