One of the most photographed and painted scenes in Ireland, Ballintoy Harbour. O' Rourkes Cottage is nestled at the foot of impressive limestone cliffs with a large private gardens looking southwest towards uninterrupted sea views, The Giants Causeway and Donegal. A perfect sun trap to enjoy the most breath taking views possible. Garden sun room with gas stove on elevated position in the back garden giving year round views of the Atlantic Ocean and stunning seascapes. The cottage is merely 40 feet from the beach with direct access from the cottage.

We had a great stay! We had everything we needed for our idyllic week on the Causeway Coast. The cottage was cosy even though the wind was biting. Being close to the natural world, sea, waves, seabirds, clouds and horizon were what we wanted and this was heaven. Thank you for your hospitality and letting us use your splendid house on the beach.

Location of property is beautiful but unfortunately the cottage was not suitable to stay in when we arrived and we had to leave. The property had clearly not been used in quite a while and was not clean on arrival. The grounds were unkempt and littered with glass with garden furniture thrown in the hedge and a kitchen knife lying on the ground - to name a few issues. The sunroom had a tree in it which had shed its leaves which covered the floor presenting a huge fire risk as there was a superser in there for heat. Every window sill inside was littered with dead flies as well as the floor. Disappointing as we had hoped to spend Christmas at this location

The location was perfect with amazing sea views and walks to local beaches and coastal pathways nearby. The host was very helpful and responsive with queries we had about the property. The cottage was rustic with a large garden and a separate sun room with views out to sea.

Amazing location and breathtaking views!! Everything was perfect for our first visit to Ireland to watch our daughter get married at Dunluce Castle!!Right on the waters edge and close to some great restaurants. The most breathtaking place I have ever stayed. Must explore all around this cottage! I could eat breakfast lunch and dinner at Roark's Kitchen. Mussels at fullerton arms were a family favorite! And must try the seafood chowder at carrick-a-rede!

Worth more than 5 stars!
Beautiful cottage in an amazing location. From the moment we started down Harbour road towards this beautiful cottage we knew we were in for a wonderful time. The hosts were great at communication and provided all the amenities we needed. We are already talking about a return trip in the future and we will not hesitate to stay here again!

Views to die for
Missed out on the use of a fantastic garden due to weather, but watching waves crashing over the rocks was mesmerising. If the weather had been better we would've been in our element. Cottage itself was clean, comfortable and cosy, maybe a wee bit tired looking but it certainly wouldn't put me off returning or recommending to family and friends.
