A clean comfortable hotel but does need some modernisation. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. A beautiful location close to the beach and golf.

Will definitely visit again
Lovely relaxing atmosphere. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was amazing. The hotel is a short walk to a clean beach with beautiful views.

Very worn down hotel, basic rooms, beds not the most comfortable. It's too expensive for what you get. Don't eat there, trust me and find another place for food, it simply is food with no taste.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We are very disappointed to read your review. Unfortunately as you have remained Anonymous we are unable to trace your stay. The Strand Hotel is a family run traditional style hotel which is a bit tired in places. We would not deny that. We are very disappointed that you feel that your palate should dictate where our future guests should eat. That in our opinion is out of order. We get great feedback on our food, service and value for money. Indeed we are happy to have a satisfaction rating of 8.6 with Hotels.com. We appreciate that we can never keep everyone happy but if guests were that unhappy why not bring that to our attention while here? Surely allowing us to respond while you are here and recompense if need be is better for both parties? Unless it is more about the review?!!

The hallways and rooms need a makeover, some fresh paint, paintings and lampshades that are not cracked. A bathroom light above sink without annoying noisy air conditioner. Needs a bit of personality in the rooms, a few prints, a few decorative cushions... The staff were nice people though.
