“Everything was fantastic except for the fact that the previous people/cleaning person?!?!? Had left the freezer door slightly ajar so the freezer was one large ice cube which we had to defost to get our groceries in. ”

The property is full of character and charm, with many original features that really add to the atmosphere, yet it’s been thoughtfully updated to ensure modern comfort.The cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival, and the beds were extremely comfortable — we slept very well. The shower was excellent, with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. While the bath was a little high, it’s a minor point and didn’t detract from the……

“Fabulous property with everything you’d possibly need for a comfortable stay. The location of the property was also great as it felt quite secluded but was actually only a 10 minute walk into Bourton centre (a decent torch is recommended though if you’re walking back at night as the lane is not lit). The property owner was lovely to deal with and left us a welcome pack which was very thoughtful.”

“Well-equipped delightful cottage.”

“We had a great stay in this beautiful barn conversion. The location is gorgeous and super convenient to the M4. House is tastefully decorated with great spaces, wonderful light & a big garden/patio as well. We were glad to find a place that had plenty of room and appropriate beds for 8 adults. We would definitely stay again.”

“stayed overnight as our starting point in exploring Cotswolds; excellent location, near the train station and high street. It was just not appearing in google maps, and the address was a bit confusing but directions provided by the host was helpful. I also liked the history of the building. ”

“Was told by Expedia that I had the property to myself but when I arrived I realised I was sharing with 3 other people. Property was supposedly called ‘the cottage’ but turns out this was next door’s place. Parking was basically none existent in the end as the other people had their car(s) on the very small driveway. Only things I can say were good was that the WiFi was a decent speed considering how rural the area was, and the bed was very comfortable.”

“A lovely cottage in the neighbourhood of the Cotswolds. We liked to eat in the garden, to explore the surroundings of the Cotswolds and the Thames and the kitchen is well equipped. There is a washing machine and a dryer. ”

“Met fantastic expectations. Away from the hustle and bustle within the Cotswolds, yet close enough to visit the AONB. Great neighbors and neighborhood. Beds were comfortable. View was charming.”

“Chapel Cottage is a spacious but cozy quaint home that is incredibly convenient to nearby county sites, villages, gardens and museums.Sophia and Hugh were wonderful hosts. We enjoyed several conversations when we just happened to be out in the adjoining gardens at the same time. The cottage kitchen is well stocked for cooking and many DVDs, books, and games are available.We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and would not hesitate to rent Chapel Cottage again.”

“Perfect location for Oxford and Thame with fabulous 400 bus service connecting both. Great meals at The Black Horse in Thame and Sunday lunch at The Kings Arms in Wheatley. Gadbury Cottage perfectly situated for both and visiting Waterperry Gardens and Althorpe House an hours drive away The cottage was clean, comfortable and met all our needs including a small private garden with loungers which we made good use of on a rest day whilst the weather was good. Hosts were friendly and gave good……

“Lovely property just a short walk into the centre of Bourton on the water, though beware there is a very steep hill to climb when walking back. Very spacious. Lounge and open plan kitchen could do with a bit of an update. Fabulous views across the country side and so many different species of birds to view from the very large window in the lounge. Owners very kindly left binoculars and a bird book. Extremely quiet setting. Stayed Friday to Monday and it was a really lovely break. ”
