Cozy, Quiet, Quaint, and Inviting

This property was an amazing place to rejuvenate the soul. Nestled in the High Country just a couple of miles from downtown Banner Elk, you are greeted upon entering the property by a flowing stream. You will find plenty of space up to a family of 6. Internet Speeds were blazing fast. Many cable options of popular networks allowed me to watch College Football on Friday night. You'll be amazed at how quiet it is inside. While I visited after the leaves had fallen, there can be little doubt the fall must be amazing. The beds were spacious. The bathroooms were a plenty. A walk in shower in the master bath was tiled and offered a rustic feel against a modern tone. Spacious pantry allows you to stock up while you are there. Only me and my 15 year old daughter stayed the weekend. If we could buy this place - we would! Most certainly would recommend this to anyone considering a trip to the mountains.

Lodges at Elkmont are safe & comfortable

We appreciated that everything we needed was provided: salt & pepper, good fry pan, washer & dryer, dishwasher, toaster, keurig. We always fear the mattress as we sleep on a electric movable bed. We do not like to sleep flat. This mattress was the best we have slept on in a number of overnights from home. Wapati road is the lower of the Elkmont lodges. Had we known, we would have held out for one higher up. The view was as good as possible from the valley and the wrap around patio was a pleasant surprise with good outdoor furniture. The gas fireplace was very much appreciated as we have the traditional wood-burning at home.

Quiet getaway

What a great property for getting away to the mountains! Exceptionally clean with all the amenities we needed. Great large porch for drinking coffee in the morning. Extremely easy check in process. Will certainly stay here again!
