Creekside Condo Walking Distance to Slopes!

This exquisite, creek-side, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo is conveniently located at the base of Sugar Mountain off of the beginner slopes and near the ski lodge. The master bedroom features a King-sized bed and a TV. There is a Queen-sized bed in the second bedroom, while the third bedroom has a bunk bed with a Queen mattress on the bottom and a Twin mattress on top and also includes a TV. This condo boasts warm and earthy accents and offers a fully equipped kitchen and beautiful granite counter tops. The unit has a washer and dryer, and Wi-Fi . In the wintertime you can enjoy the nice gas fireplace while watching the snow fall. In the summertime, step out onto the back deck and relax with the sounds of songbirds over the rushing creek. Cross the wooden footbridge directly onto the ski slopes for hiking or skiing. Non-smoking. No pets allowed. No Check-in's Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. All guests required to sign their rental agreement within 7 days of booking.

It is a great spot for families only steps away from the slopes. Upon arrival, the space was still dirty and the lights in the back bedroom did not work. The couch had food and clothes in it from someone else's stay. Furniture could use some updating.

If you're interested in location to ski-in/ski-out and no frills then this works for you. But the condo was LESS than to be desired. There was an inch worth of dust caked on the ceiling fans and exhaust fans throughout. Bith sofas need replacing as the support is busted out in both. Only 1 of the 4 kitchen chairs was stable for an adult. Cookware was minimal. Our group had 2 couples and we were only provided 1 key for the stay. Had to leave the door unlocked on numerous occasions. The entire unit needs updating or at least a deep clean.

What a great place for our family ski trip! This place was perfect! The location is literally 100 feet from the slopes, and it’s right at the ski lift! Just cross the bridge and you are there! Kitchen had all we needed, bedrooms had nice beds and room to move, and the living area was nice. We will definitely come back to this condo next year with the family!

We had excellent service from the beginning to the end of our visit. The location was not as close to the slopes as we were used to, but it was still close enough to not be a major problem. Arrival was good and they actually got us into the condo a couple hours early. The unit is directly on the slopes so having a 2 year old grand child made it a lot easier to get to the slopes. The unit is old and not updated so if you're looking for glam and fancy, this one's not for you. The description said new granite counter tops and it wasn't. The countertops are formica but are new though. Con's: 1. Freezer was loud and made a buzzing sound while running. 2. Shower curtain in spare bath room kept falling down. 3. Gas fireplace would not turn on. 4. Living room was very small for 6 people. 5. Bathroom heat didn't work for master bath. 6. Comode seat was very loose and was more slippery than the slopes when using the toilet. 7. Master shower is very very very small and almost tough to use the shower. 8. Floors creaked very loud while walking through the condo. Besides for these things, here's the pros. If you're not a premadanna and want a clean place to stay for a reasonable price, that's steps away from the slopes, this is for you. We're just down to earth people that don't require extravagance so this worked for us. Even though the pictures make this place look a lot larger than it really is, it was doable for a family of 6 with a small child making 7. I had to sit in the kitchen while the family used the couches but no bid deal. It was clean and the property management team was great to work with. Would I stay here again, maybe as long as we only have 4 to five people and the land lord were to fix things up a little. I love sugar mountain. It will always be true to my heart. The slopes are steep but not so steep that a beginner can't have a great time. Blues are doable for beginners and just right for a family. We didnt have a bad experience in the condo, but did have to sacrifice a little for comfort. I liked the condo, just wish it was updated a little.

Father's Day in the mountains

Had a nice stay up in Sugar Mountain for Father's Day weekend. The property was easily accessed and the right size for our family of four. Nothing fancy, but clean and perfect for us. Being the off-season, the whole area was very quiet. We very much enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to the stream. There is a small park with walking trails right near the complex that I enjoyed walking in the mornings. The location is great for exploring all the wonderful places in the NC mountains. This time we enjoyed the Rough Ridge trail, Elk River falls, Mast General Store, and of course The Pedalin' Pig!

This location in particular is absolutely perfect for skiing. With steps to the slopes right off the back porch you can get any closer to the action. The condo itself isn’t the most updated but for us it’s worth the trade off for the location. We will absolutely stay here again

Pros: very close to the slopes with a very easy access (although anybody who can’t take stairs should find a different property. Definitely help small children because it was a steep staircase and steep slope and they will probably fall at some point if you do not watch them carefully). Great view and lovely porch that looks out to the creek with a bridge to cross to the ski slope and the chairlift. Place looked good. all appliances worked including TV, fireplace, washer dryer, toaster microwave oven and coffee pot . Decor was cute and fireplace and furnishings made for a very cozy stay. Some room for improvement: Carpet could probably use a cleaning. We brought our own air purifier and are glad we did - the dust levels were a little high. I think that’s just being an indoor cabin without a lot of ventilation and heat on in the winter time. There was only one pot to cook in in the kitchen so definitely bring another one if you plan to feed people. Bring your own paper towels, laundry detergent, dish soap, foil and plastic wrap. There was one large hole punched in the bathroom door, and there was some clicking sounds that were loud enough to wake a couple of us up at night time coming from the radiators? in two of the bedrooms. There was a noticeable crack in the lamp and couches that desperately needed to be cleaned under. We brought an air purifier and are glad we did because the dust levels were noticeable, which is probably normal for winter season and closed up much used carpeted upholstered lodge. Other than that it was a lovely cozy stay. This property is worth it due to the proximity to the slopes and the three bedrooms.

You walk out the balcony, down some stairs and over a small footbridge and you are right by the Easy Street lift. The unit could use a good cleaning and decluttering. The closets at the entry are full of old lamps and things that are no longer used. It would be great if the owner would clean those out so renters could use the closets to store all the ski gear. The only major issue we had was the gutter that ran next to the stairs was broken so it dumped all the water straight into the stairs. The water froze and created very slick stairs. We reported it to the rental office so hopefully they will get it fixed. Overall, we loved staying here and would definitely come back!

The couch was broken with wood hanging out, the ru in living room was covered in white pet hair . The comforter in master was also covered in pet hair . I had to vacuum and the vacuum was full of pet hair . I have to wash all the bedding . The coffee pot was dirty and stained and there were pet poop bags on the back deck

It was a wonderful experience for my family. Skiing was right at your back door. Good place for Mom staying in condo to cook and she was in the middle of everything. However bathroom was nasty dirty and no shower curtain was on the tub. Mold or dirt was in between tiles on walls in bathroom. Bathroom in master was clean. Reported to management. Also if u plan to cook u might want to bring pots and pans from home. There were some but old and not enough.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit is small very small. Would not want to stay here with number they say it sleeps (7). Loved the location but it would be very crowded with 7 people. The kitchen was not well stocked. If there is something you need (crockpot/muffins pan), you need to bring it. There is not a table that you can sit at for dinners together. The table that is in the kitchen is a drop leaf table with only 3 chairs. Even with leafs down to add room in the kitchen, it is not comfortable at all. With the leafs up, be careful not to place too much on the sides as the table will turn over (no supports for the leafs). The master bath is very small with a shower that is difficult to turn around in. There is no where to store skis and boots inside. There are ski racks outside your door to prop up skis but no way to ensure their security. We left ours out on the deck but brought boots inside. The existing closets just inside the door would have been great for hanging up all the ski gear and coats but was packed with owners storage (lots of lamps) so unusable to renters. Location was great though.
