Wonderful stay! I’m very picky with hot tubs but this tub was brand new and super clean.. One tip: Be VERY careful when turning the corner around the outside of the house. There’s a piece of roof/shingles that is sticking out. If you’re looking down and trying not to slip on ice - it will take you out.

The molding is coming loose around one of the spare bedroom doors, which blocked the door from opening. Aside from that, all our needs were met at a very fair price. Thanks!

House was not cleaned upon check in from previous guest - trash remained, broken furniture present, dirty linens. After multiple attempts to locate a local manager to address the issue the cleaning crew was sent to the house and we were delayed checking in to the house from 4pm - 8pm. The cleaning crew did not thoroughly clean as it was a rush job and dirty linens still remained in the house as well as floors and furniture were not thoroughly cleaned. House needs updates!!!! Kitchen had limited cooking items. Flooring had missing tiles. Molding around door frames was broken. Bathroom doors had mold present. Furniture is as pictured but dated and could benefit from replacing. Hot Tub did not work even after multiple messages were sent prior to arrival to make sure it would be ready for use. Gas logs didnt work - no propane. Windows in master didnt close all the way. Contact with management company to address issues was difficult due to management company phone number is in Oregon and house is in NC. An Oregon rep would have to reach out to a local rep to get issues resolved. Messaging through the VRBO app for the issues with the house cleanliness and check-in were not answered for a day.

Hottub would not get to temperature and there was just a wooden chair and 5 gallon bucket to get up into it, no steps. We turned it up when we first got there and by late that night it had only gone up one degree, so couldnt use it. Forgot to check again before we left for Snowboarding so we could message someone bc by that night it had only gone up 1 more degree. The place didn't seem to be cleaned very well, there was a random glove in the hallway shower and master bedroom had super musty smell in front of closets. The bed in loft was broken with bottom half of mattress sitting on floor and only 1 wood slat to hild box spring, was able to balance it and have 1 very small person sleep in it. No hand soap in any of the bathrooms. Overall the price and location were good but don't expect much, it needs to a lot of improvements and if hottub is a seller for you try to test temp early and often as it never got up to temp for us but with such a short stay we couldn't get someone out to fix it.

This was a great place to stay. Older, but still so charming and very clean. Close to the resort. Loved the hot tub and had plenty of room for our group. The porch is a perfect place to sit in the breeze. Would totally stay here again!

In need of work

The house is very dated. The furniture should have been replaced a long time ago. The boasted private hot tub was not prepared for this visit. After turning it on for several hours, it did not heat past 78 Upon arrival, there were wet towels and blanket on back deck near hot tub. There was clothing hanging in a tree. The location was beautiful and the wildlife was enjoyable to watch.

It was hot and uncomfortable at night, No AC!!!The fans that were supplied, three out of four didn’t work, they came and dropped off one additional fan… the refrigerator top shelf door rail was broken and the inside light didn’t work… There wasn’t an iron available… two out of the three televisions in the house didn’t work and one didn’t even have a remote control… we enjoy visiting our state mountains (NC) and have been doing so for several years but this trip here was the worse thus far!!! This was our first time booking with this Vacasa group and will probably be our last!!! They should hold the property owners accountable for all of their needed repairs and updates needed in their property!!! FACTS!!!

The house itself was in a great location. Please note it does not have AC....I probably would not have booked if it had been listed out in the house information (that's on me for assuming).One of the comforters was not clean, we washed but the dryer did not work (from reading other reviews has been broken for 3 months now) contacted them via text said someone would come fix but no one ever did. Back left burner did not work on stove. Part of the floor was missing in kitchen and a group member cut foot on a threshold nail. Wi-Fi was very bad...we just had 5 devices connected it should have handled that. Upstairs TV did not power on (mentioned in other reviews months ago) Bottom bedroom had no blinds or curtains...we had to hang blankets from ceiling to cover them. We messaged in advance to have them turn on hot tub to heat up and they did but not all of the jets work on it. It was an affordable place to stay but would not stay again.

House was frat house clean if that makes sense. It smelled like old moldy wood. Hot tub didnt get hot at all. Bed super stiff all of them. Kitchen is small but if its only one peraon cooking its fine. Shower in master bedroom leaked everywhere. Will never use them again.

50th birthday ruined

Hot tub does not work, management will tell you to google how to fix it. Furniture run down and ripped. Only one side of the grill works. TV's don't even have plugs they are just decoration, I guess. Trash was in the kitchen full when we got there. Dryer did not work had to drive 25 minutes down the mountain to get towels. Management does not call back they text you. This property is management by VACASSA and they do not care about customers.

Great if you dont want the amenities advertised

This place is great for a vacation to Beech Mountain/Banner Elk. There was plenty of room for our 2 families and the kids loved the loft. Location is great and it was so nice to have 3 bathrooms. The place was clean and there were plenty of towels/sheets. Views are lovely and we really enjoyed the fire pit. However, we booked the property specifically for the hot tub, fire place, and washer/dryer. The fire place and dryer didnt work and the hot tub was off and luke warm when we got there. It didnt heat up until our 4th (and last) day. Also, there are a lot of stairs down to the property. When we arrived they were covered in snow. I would think they would have been scraped/swept as it poses a significant fall risk. Lastly, when we arrived, the heat was off. It was 40 degrees outside and not much warmer inside. It took the whole first night to get the house to heat up. When we called the property company for help, we couldnt get anyone on the phone. We texted with what seemed like an off shore customer service rep who told us the local team would be in touch but, we were never contacted. We did get a discount but, it wasnt equitable to the inconvenience, IMO. If you dont need/care about the fireplace, washer/dryer, or hot tub, this place is perfect. If you do need/care about those amenities, I would book somewhere else.

Never got to stay

We got to beech mountain about an hour and half early for check in. Roughly 230. We messaged at 3 pm to check about early check in. Was not available which is fine so we went to eat. While paying around 4:16 pm I got an email saying the stay was cancelled due to a broken sewer pipe which I know is completely unexpected except for I messaged them a hour prior and they could have given me a heads up a notice or anything that the house was not available. They set me up with a house that is an hour away and was our only option so we proceeded to go there in 5 minutes before pulling into the house they canceled us again. My family of four after driving 6 hours we're now stranded in beech mountain for the weekend. When I asked the lady on the phone about any other options even if it was just a one bedroom or something. All she just kept saying is well, We issued a refund. I don't care about a refund. I care about my family of four and a town with horrible reception so I couldn't even look at things to try and find somewhere else. We sat in a parking lot for 2 hours calling all around. I understand that this might not reflect on the owners or the house at all, but the management of the house has really got to do better, especially with customer service.

Weekends getaway

Property had many challenges. There were over 20 steps to access the main level from the parking. Once inside, the stairs were very narrow and steep which could cause concern for anyone with mobility issues. The kitchen would accommodate two people at most. The tv and dvd were not connected and we couldn't find cords to connect. The gas grill only had about 25% of the burner working. The hot tub lost heat all weekend even while turning the heat up. The online pics are not an accurate representation of the property.

Small place needs a little tlc

I always wipe down before touching/using anything table was dirty couches had dog/cat hair some chairs were broken outside and inside grill super thick dirty no sofa beds like they listed air hockey broken dryer doesn’t work house has odor needs an AC for summer doesn’t have where to dispose of trash Refrigerator didn't work I texted them they didn’t solve the issue or get back to me top shower was leaking through sealing to bottom room near bed I notified them someone came in and said a plumber would be out to fix I also told him once again about refrigerator he checked and nobody didn’t come back to fix anything sink in main bedroom as clogged we fixed it. Overall the house was left super clean than what we arrived to. Ive stayed at many properties in NC they all have a welcome letter, things to do around, check out instructions this property doesn’t have anything. The only positive that I have for this property is the encounter with the deers they are friendly we were able touch

Not what is advertised

This definitely does not sleep 11. We had 9 - there are no sleeper sofas. It should not say sleeps 11. Kitchen is terribly appointed. No dishwasher (which is fine - but funny they left 3 dishwasher detergent tabs - which can’t be used , and only 1 small bottle of dish cleaner). Which leads me to the fact that most of the dishes were dirty before use. And there were mouse pellets in one of the pans we were about to cook in. Couldn’t get live TV. Only positive was we could bring 3 dogs.
