A gem in West Cork

Fantastic location, especially well shown off by the brilliant weather we had for a whole week! The house is very comfortable and easily accommodated our multiple couples with small children. Great outdoor space and the waterfront is a real bonus. Great for kayaking, SUP and crabbing for small children (require supervision always!). There are also superb beaches and coves within a short drive. We mostly self-catered but Seaview hotel opposite is good for eating out and Manning's for morning coffee. Highly commended rental.

Warm welcome to a stunning home that felt like a luxurious home with our every need catered for. The location was stunning with hot tub and kayaks too so we could enjoy ourselves even more. Lovely wine and fudge and plenty of logs for the big fire. Constant hot water and the l Kitchen had every utensil needed. Beautiful flowers from the garden on the table - stunning stunning stunning

Large comfortable house with room for people to spread out.

Loved the place & the views. We were very lucky with the weather. Warm & sunny, the best week of the year. This allowed people to go swimming in the bay & kayaking. 3 supplied by the house with life jackets. The jacuzzi got well used. House is spacious & it has lovely bedrooms & everyone had an ensuite. We were celebrating our 60th & the owner suggested local chefs that cater for groups. We had a couple, Collette & Michael from Truffle Honey come in & cater for us. Canapés on the pontoon. We had an amazing week here & made get memories that we will all treasure. Highly recommend. For large groups.close to Bantry as well. Restaurant across the road is very good too. The owners sent us a list of local attractions & things to do. Which was really helpful as we didn’t know this area of West Cork

Ballylickey Experience

Westerly House is a unique property and it carries a price to go with that. However for most people, including us, this provides you with a once in a life experience, the memories of which will remain with you for a very long time. My extended family, including grand and great grand children, had the most amazing time in this natural wonderland of a home in Ballylickey West Cork. Eating, drinking, swimming, kayaking, hot tubbing, with enough space to allow everyone peace and privacy when required, this was a holiday heaven, best summed up by one of my great grand children, who blurted out - this is the 2nd best holiday I ever had -. When I asked Jamie what was the first, he replied - Disneyland Paris -. There was one major disappointment. One day after we left, a pod of whales appeared in Ballylickey Bay and put on a breaching display. How beautiful it would have been to sit with a glass of wine on the jetty at the end of the garden in Westerly House and watch the whales having their fun!!!

Family gathering

Amazing house and gardens. We are a family group from UK and Singapore celebrating my 70th birthday ages ranging 7 to 75. The grandchildren loved the kayaks and being able to swim from the jetty and catching crabs. The house is big enough to enjoy our own space to sit and read or just look at the view and we were blessed with a week of glorious weather. Beautiful part of West Cork which’s I would highly recommend .

Westerly House provided a wonderful home away from home for two weeks. We were seven adults and three children under the age of four. The children especially loved the magical gardens. The house is spacious with a magnificent view of the bay. It is in the perfect location for touring West Cork. I hope to return in the future!
