The front desk staff was awesome. In particular Augustine and Rosanne (sorry if I got the names or spellings wrong.) were exceptionally helpful with recommendations for restaurants, places to visit and directing me me to a good nearby gym - The Holmes Place. The doorman was incredibly kind and welcoming. It was a nice touch with the bottle of champagne brought to our room and I loved the candy in the front lobby. Also, a great move to include the mini bar at no extra charge. You'd be surprised the positive impression doing such a nice gesture on your part wins acolades with guests. I will definitely be back to the Hotel Bagues with my wife in the next year or two. Wonderful experience.

We got an interior room with a tiny window overlooking the interior stairwell. Not a 5-star hotel by any means. On the day of our departure, the elevators did not work, and we had to carry our bags down. The hotel has no restaurant. If you can get a room for 100 euros, it's a good option, otherwise, there are better alternatives in the area.

I recommend this hotel
This hotel was our choice for our honeymoon. The manners of the hotel staff are excellent, and it is a clean and distinctive hotel that suits Barcelona perfectly. The atmosphere is a bit different from other ordinary hotels, and we really liked that. Moreover, going up to the rooftop terrace in the evening and enjoying the beautiful scenery and sky made it even more delightful.

The hotel offers a lot for a reasonable price. Besides the location, which is unbeatable, just on la Rambla, the property is very nice and elegant. The room was amazing, with some complimentary things. We had twice in-room meals and the quality was excellent. This was my second time there, I believe not the last one.

A fantastic place
A fantastic place! Right in the heart of everything, but completely quiet, restful, and very well-appointed. The counter staff are superb, and the room was wonderful. Everyone treated us like we were royalty, including the bartender in the fantastic rooftop bar -- which, oddly, closed halfway through our visit. It's a shame, as that's a great space, but the rest of the hotel is wonderful too, and highly recommended.

I absolutely loved this hotel, the staff was amazing, the room was great and the roof top bar was the icing on the cake. The location was on La Rambla and I was not happy with the area however it was a god sent to have a safe place to go to and the staff went above and beyond to keep us safe. About the staff...they were absolutely amazing, each one of them offered to help us. From recommending restaurants to booking a show and the icing on the cake was them brining me coffee while I watched the sunrise! We have stayed in hundreds of hotels and I would consider this one exceptional. The rating for the location is off because I did not want it to impact my review of the hotel. Go! See! Do!

I loved this hotel. Great location and incredibly sound proof. The staff fantastic. I loved the little touches. The candy bar at entry. The turn down service and the roof top bar are notable surprises. But the staff all fantastic. This hotel is fantastic.

Nice stay in Barcelona
Excellent location (city center on the Rambla avenue, very close to Plaça de Catalunya) with easy access to restaurants, shops and entertainment. Very pleasant boutique hotel (30 rooms) with nice and caring personnel and efficient room service. The superior room was relatively small, the queen size bed also quite small for tall persons, pillows were too soft/uncomfortable and we really regretted the lack of smart TV. Even if the room was oriented towards the noisy Ramblas, the windows were efficiently protecting from the outside noise. However, the room is not correctly isolated from the inside noise (hallway). The bathroom was nice (no bath).
