Due to a switch of my travel plan, I have two bookings, each with three nights but in a different room type (first three nights are in luxury room type).
I have informed the staff about this situation on the first day. The staff said they will see if it is necessary to reallocate my room on the fourth day and never mentioned an extra charge is needed. I haven't received any notification since then, even though I asked a staff to fix the safety box in my room on the fourth day morning. When I came back at night on the fourth day, my key card was not working anymore, so I asked the reception staff for help and he didn't say anything as well and fix my keycard. These all implied that I don't have to change the room which I would definitely do so if I would be charged extra.
However, I was asked to pay an addition of 70 Euros by the reception staff when checking out. I refused to do so and he threatened to call the police. I explained to him that I have informed the hotel on the first day and no one ever contacted me again regarding the issue. He insisted that I need to pay and said the night time staff who help with my keycard is not truly their staff and have no idea of my issue.
I compromised and try to pay the amount, while he suddenly said 'I don't want your f****** money'. I have never encountered such a rude and impolite hotel staff. I felt so insulted and it really ruined my whole trip. Hotel operation here is bad and flawed, pay attention when you stay here.
