Great location and newly furnished
Great location along the La Ramble of BCN, you can get around easily of the city. La Ramble is the most crowded and busy street in the city, so you need to understand noises would be all around.
Hotel furnishing looks pretty new and clean, only problem is there's nowhere to hang anything on the wall, which is quite a waste of space, particularly, in the winter season that you travel is overcoat and lot more clothings.
Service is just so so, don't feel any warm reception from the hotel staff. Overall, it's convenient and well located if that suits your choosing criteria, that should be your pick.

We stayed in the wish suite which over looked Las Ramblas. Beautiful terrace and nice mix of old design with a modern hotel. Our only issue was a significant amount of ants in the bathroom and strong sewer smell which came up from the shower drain if left open (not sure if this is the hotel or an issue with the city of Barcelona). Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Budget 3 star hotel - definitely not a 4 a star! No coffee machine in the room, just a small kettle. Sewage smell in the bathroom every day with no extractor fan. Not one single hook in the bathroom to hang clothes or towels when showering! The towels had an awful smell to them - probably because of the sewage smell. Staff were polite and friendly, but had minimal contact with them. 'Bottled' water was provided where the lid would not tighten & was filled with tap water which had an odd taste to it. The coffee machine at breakfast made luke warm coffee with an unpleasant taste. Local cafes all made lovely coffee, so the hotel definitely had something off with theirs. Breakfast was not worth it - nothing tasted good unfortunately but was presented nicely. Milk was kept in a separate mini fridge in large bottles with lids rather than jugs and as there was no counter space, it made it difficult to pour. Room was an okay size, however, when the room next door showered or went to the toilet, it made a lot of noise. The tv remote control had not been cleaned and was covered in gunk. Not enough counter space in the bathroom. The hair dryer was plugged to the wall with hardly any power to dry hair. No mirror by the desk to do makeup and not enough counter space in the room. Room had see-through net curtains with no proper thick curtains! Las Ramblas has a lot of construction work going on so the pedestrianised street was not fully open and was noisy and dusty. Location was great.

Such a great shame about La Rambla being under reconstruction (it negated why I chose the hotel and room in the first place) but the excellent Sky Bar and it's superb barman (and his excellent choice of music!) made up for it!

I am a loyal client of Expedia for over 29 years and I found this experience with Sehrs Hotel Barcelona the worst one!!!!
We booked a night on February 15th and checked out the next day. On February 26 , before we checked out , morning around 9:30, we stepped out to buy some breakfast across the street. We were gone for 45 minutes. We went back to the hotel around 10:15 and headed back the room . Check out time should be 11 am.To our surprise, our belongings are gone and we found 2 men doing some renovations in our room. We went to the receptionist . They explained that they needed to remove our belongings since they have to do some work in the room. No one communicated to us ahead of time about the room renovation.
This is unacceptable!!!! This is an absolute violation of our privacy!!!! They touched my belongings without our permission!!!We were not notified about this ahead of time. Who in the right mind will decide to remove hotel guest belongings still residing in the room until check out time. I have all the right to be upset!!! No one got back to me to explain up to this day!!!! I need the manager to reach out to me. I will report to Business Bureau!!!

My room was a good size and clean. The bed was comfy. The staff were excellent, breakfasts were great and the hotel was in a really good position to get around, either on foot or by metro. I recommend this hotel for anyone going to Barcelona.
