Arriving to the hotel was super easy and we were allocated a room ahead of our check-in time which was more than perfect. Upon arrival to the room there was a strange musky oder within the room itself, after opening windows and ventilating the room, my partner and I ventured out of the hotel. When we returned the smell was still prominent so we asked if is there was a possibility to move rooms. After being allocated a new room we came to discover that the window did not open in the newly allocated room, causing it to get really hot. The intermittent aircon did help, however it was something that had to be constantly monitored and activated causing a disrupted sleep. We also found damage to the door becoming quite difficult to secure the room, after a few attempts we were successful but left us anxious in knowing our belongings were secure and safe. We approached reception to see if there was anything that could be done about the newly allocated room - but there wasn’t a great amount of service provided. The next day we received a call to the room from reception regarding inconveniences - a free breakfast was allocated as a gesture of good will. Although this was a nice gesture it didn’t surpass the poor experience which was had. We asked a number of occasions to speak with a manager throughout the ongoing issues but we never got a direct interaction or communication. I wouldn’t recommend this property again.

Hotel ligt heel ver van alle bezienswaardigheden. Personeel aan de receptie was onvriendelijk. Ouderwets ingerichte kamers. Geen zwembad die naam waardig. Wel een whirlpool, maar de watertemperatuur was 20°C. Ik raad dit hotel af.

I liked the location but the room was dark with a window looking into a shaft with a pipe but we were told it would be a courtyard view if we didn't want to upgrade but wasn't even that

Fine and comfortable establishment
We had an excellent time staying 5 nights. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and even surprised us with a gift after an unrelated power outage that affected the entire street. The room was great; good size, very tidy and clean, and the air conditioning was exceptionally efficient and surprisingly quiet (just remember to enable it again after inserting the room card). I only wish the TV was of a bigger size - approximately 30" was a little small from the back of the bed. Bathroom was above average size with a nice, classic industrial aesthetic. Minor detail, but the door itself was entertainingly smooth to swing. Shower was especially spacious. The rooftop pool is perhaps a bit underwhelming. Seemingly would only fit 2 people laying down, never mind swimming, as the depth is only about half a person. It didn't affect us much as that wasn't a priority, but if you're looking for a pool, this ain't it. I think this space could potentially be better spent as a water fountain to bring some nature and relaxing spa-like ambiance to the otherwise nice rooftop area.

Ok, but damp and noisy
It's a decent hotel, with a good location in a posh part of town, plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Good 30 minute walk to center, no metro nearby, but a bus. Bed was comfortable enough and decent sized room with amenities needed. However, all the doors in the hotel are built with a mechanism that is noisy when opened etc, but even worse forces the door to slam shut when closed. This meant that whenever anyone exited the room (or housekeeping did their work - which was a lot) doors would slam and it would feel like the entire room came down on you. All throughout the day, and also at night / morning when guests would arrive and leave at all times. On top of this Housekeeping is super noisy, starting vaccuming the halls at 9am on a Sunday, generally just banging stuff and not trying to be quiet. Worse even, they are just shouting to each other across rooms, making it very hard to rest if that was what you wanted to do. Basically, don't choose this hotel if you are a light sleeper, or if you want to sleep past early morning when the cleaners start their noise. The room is also super damp, since there is very bad ventilation in the bathroom - even opening the window did not remove the damp in the time I was there. Also noticed the smell as soon as I entered the room. Lastly, everything costs in minibar - not even a free water. There were one time use toothbrush, comb etc in the bathroom though, nice touch. All in all, wouldn't recommend.

Excellent séjour, chambre au top propre et joliment décoré impression d'être accueilli dans une chambre d'ami!! Les prix au bar sont peu Chers par rapport au standing de l'hôtel. La petite piscine permet de s'y rafraîchir. Le bar et restaurant au neuvième offre une très belle vue sur la ville. Le quartier est sympa et calme. Accès en bus ligne 7 ou 67 vous êtes a 10 minutes de la place de la Catalogne.. petit bonus le parfum à l'accueil sens tellement bon que je l'ai acheté et maintenant j'ai un peu de l'atmosphère du Vinci Mae. Et un grand merci aux équipes accueil, ménageet au bar pour leur accueil, sourire et disponibilité.

The room was nice and had plenty of space. The view from our room was great. The breakfast could have been better. It was a typical European breakfast with not a lot of hot breakfast options. The eggs had been setting in steam making the eggs watery and unappealing. When asked if we could have fresh eggs cooked, the cook was offended and said that the eggs were fine and stirred them up. Our request was finally made. A better breakfast would have made it great.

Great location for restaurants and shopping. Roof top terrace perfect for drinks, hotel has a boutique feel, rooms are attractively furnished and beds/pillows very comfortable. Ventilator in bathroom would be useful. Reception staff very helpful.
