The location is beautiful — surrounded by nature. It is also close to Bastogne if you want to visit WWII sites.
The lodging, though, was unfortunately not pleasant. The whole place smelled like mildew. When we checked the first bedroom, the bedding was heavily perfumed to try to cover up the smell of mildew. The second bedroom smelled awful. Not just mildew smells. Two of us decided to sleep on the couches instead of sleeping in that room. Opening the windows did very little.
On top of that, the amenities were minimal. We each got one towel. No second smaller towel or towel in the bathroom. For the price we paid, I would have expected at least a bar of soap. When I asked if we could leave our bags past check in, she said we were welcome to up until a certain point, which we appreciated very much. However, 50 minutes before the deadline she messaged to say if we didn’t come to pick up the bags within 10 minutes she would have to charge us another night even though that was not the original plan. We had to cut our visit to the museum short in a panic because we were a 15 minute drive away.
I hope the host improves the cleanliness because this place has potential.
