"Great front desk personnel. Got us a taxis every time we needed one which was a lot of times. Bar personnel excellent and so was the staff at breakfast. Housekeepers kept our room spotless. Would go back again."

"Very impressive approach and foyer. Opulent public rooms and staff are charming. Our room on 5th floor was rather small. The indoor pool and spa are truly amazing with the outdoor pool and gardens equally well appointed. Food is very good. Drinks are expensive but good. Nicely situated although road noise at the front may irritate patrons especially when dining on the terrace."

"Location is ideal, only 10 min walk to train station and bit less to lake. All staff were great. It is a Viking tour hotel so you do get a lot of people staying but the hotel facilities can handle it. Breakfast was a wide range the only criticism is that the hot food isn’t hot. Cold scrambled eggs, bacon. The room we had Mountain View was big enough for a week no issues. Lake maggorie is vast and traveling everywhere on the ferry can get expensive. Worth the money is the Maggiore express on the weekends that take you to Locarno in Switzerland and scenic train back. All in all a lovely 7 days."

"The hotel itself is definitely older but we stayed in room 804 and it had been completely updated! It was extremely comfortable and very nice. The hotel staff was amazing! They were very friendly and helpful. We were there for a wedding and they helped us get all of our suits and dresses pressed in about an hour. It was incredible! For the price you can’t beat this hotel or the location."

"We loved every single thing about this beautiful hotel. It sits majestically nestled in an elevated position overlooking lake Maggiore with attractive well maintained grounds. The staff were excellent at every stage and incredibly obliging. The food including breakfast was delicious. Every Thurs night is a wonderful barbecue out on the terrace with the backdrop of the gorgeous lake which was a particular highlight. There is decadence, luxury and Italian style throughout the hotel with many gorgeous rooms to enjoy on the main hotel floor. The immaculate bedroom and sumptuous bathroom we had was on the 3rd floor overlooking the lake from a wonderful balcony, a breathtaking view that is imprinted in our minds. For us a very special hotel in a beautiful location with professional exemplary friendly staff. The owner chats to guests every morning at breakfast which is a lovely personal touch. A welcome drink greets you on your arrival at the hotel and a minibar with largely soft drinks and beer is complementary and restocked every day. We also had a complementary bottle of wine in our room and every night with the turn down service some delicious petit fours appeared as an additional treat. The hotel can arrange a private boat from their own jetty to take you to the 3 Borromean islands which though an expensive luxury provides a tailored service that was extra special. A very warm thank you to All the staff who made our stay absolutely amazing. We would return in a heartbeat."

"Beautiful, spacious, spotlessly clean room with TWO verandas! The location felt very relaxed and safe. Hosts were very helpful with changing our reservation and helping us with everything we needed. Breakfast was also fantastic. Definitely recommend for your stay in Baveno!"

"This was a beautiful hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was great and there was parking on site which was very important for us. We had the family suite which was perfect for the four of us. We really enjoyed our stay."
