"The Handlery has maintained some of the original character of the hotel while updating for modern convenience. The staff are polite, helpful, and very accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, and the convenience and proximity to downtown and restaurants makes it very walkable inconvenient. Half a block to the trolley on Powell Street. Half a block to Union Square station. We would definitely stay here again for both business and pleasure."

"I missed a flight and this was an OK place to stay. The shuttle doesn’t run that regularly. There’s a blow dryer, ironing board, TV and coffee machine in the room. The shower was hot. Bed & pillow was not that comfortable - you will need an eye mask and noise cancelling headphones."

"Staff was helpful. Bathroom was sufficient but awkwardly arranged and poorly finished. A/C had a dripping sound. Otherwise, the room was basic but comfortable."
