La Maîtrise, in the heart of Bayeux Les Maisons des Pommiers

Located in the historic heart of Bayeux, at the foot of the cathedral, we welcome you to this former canon’s residence dating from the 14th century.
This house is one of the oldest residences in Bayeux. Fully restored while preserving its historic features as a tribute to the past, it now offers all the modern comforts needed for a pleasant stay.
Accommodation
The house, located in the heart of Bayeux, just a few steps from the Cathedral, features an entrance (accessible through one of the city’s oldest gates, a must-see on any cultural tour), leading to an inner courtyard enclosed by high walls—perfect for relaxing (barbecue and patio furniture available).
The stone spiral staircase leads to the upper floors of the house:
On the first floor: the living area opens onto a kitchen-dining area. The pool table promises plenty of fun.
Adjacent to it is a small bedroom (160 double bed) and a bathroom with a toilet.
On the second floor:
A relaxation area/TV area leading to a first bedroom (160 double bed or 80 twin beds, as needed) and a master suite (160 double bed) with a bathroom area (freestanding bathtub) and a shower room (sink and toilet) off to the side.

Bicycles for leisure rides are available.

Due to the spiral staircase (which is somewhat narrow…), this property is not recommended for guests with limited mobility.

The house is detached and fully accessible.
Additional notes
Pets are not allowed unless specifically requested (depending on size).

It is recommended that young children be accompanied when going up and down the staircase connecting the different levels of the house, as it is narrow and steep.
